Favorite B-side?

If you don't know what a B-side is, it's a song that is exclusive to a single from an album.
You know bands release singles from albums? Often in their own physical CD/Digital download?
They have extra songs on them.
B-sides.

My favorite is one I found today, and the reason I made the thread.


Biffy Clyro's Help Me Be Captain, the B-side to The Captain single.
Liek the original, but way more bass, way more rock, way more dirty, and no orchestra and quieter music.
Also I prefer these lyrics and their delivery.

Another favorite is the B-side to Enter Shikari's Juggernauts, All Eyes on The Saint.
Such an epic rock song, and I mean epic, and one of their best songs I think, but they never ply it and no one really knows it 'cause it'S a B-side...

I remember my dad first playing me The Beach Boys when I was about seven. Such a beautiful song.

Anyway, unfortunately I don't currently have my singles collection on me for reference and there are so many songs in my iTunes it isn't even worth looking for any B-Sides in it (on the off-chance that I remember to next time possible, I'll browse through my singles collection and see if I can pick anything better to update this post with), so I'll go for a shot and pick Smith's Disco [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEQvJAwjs48] by The Courteeners. If we're including alternate versions of songs, though, then it would have to be this [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfT4za2nhlc] acoustic version of Bullet For My Valentine's Hearts Burst Into Fire. I'm a sucker for acoustic songs.

There's also a B-Side Jarvis Cocker did once for the single Don't Let Him Waste Your Time where he read a version of the Grim Fairy Tale The Mouse, The Bird and The Sausage which I really liked for a non-standard B-Side, but sadly that one I can't seem to find anywhere on Youtube.

actually i believe this was on pet sounds, the album itself. so not really a b-side. i might be wrong. but this one definitely is.

You are correct, it was on the Pet Sounds album, however, when they released the single Wouldn't it be Nice, God Only Knows was the B-Side. A B-Side is just what is on the other side of the record when released.

An amusingly upbeat song that I can tell would have been on the actual album had it not sounded like such a contrast to This Is How I Disappear and the ilk.

It's a shame this didn't go on the album in a way (I'd have certainly preferred this to Next Stop Atro City). A good song.
