If you think about it, with all the stories in Rapture (and soon Columbia) there are A LOT of characters in the Bioshock series. So, who are your favorites. WARNING, THERE MAY BE SPOILERS!

Mine:

1. Mark Metzer: He has one of the largest stories in the bioshock series. He had a story before Bioshock 2 even was out. He had a entire story through 3 diffrent websites, and then in the game. On his hunt for the Big Sister, trying to figure out what is happening to the little girls, his daughter is kiddnaped. He is driven slightly mad and goes on an epic quest to find Rapture. His journey and end through Rapture are also epic, but I don't want to spoil.

2. Billy: A small boy in Bioshock 2 who had a crush on a little sister, and looked up to her Big Daddy, he gives her a present with a [spoiler/]Single Rose
inside. You only hear his voice, but it is very cute to here him. And what you find right next to his present is shocking. [spoiler/]A dead big daddy
3.Jack: No need to explain.

SO WHO ARE YOUR FAVORITES.

Dr. J. S. Steinman is my personal favorite, with second going to Augustus Sinclair, Esq. Steinman shows the true effect of ADAM. He was once a normal, brilliant, accomplished surgeon. After ADAM, he was seeing the ghost of Aphrodite and writing messages on walls in blood like "ADAM denies us any reason for not being beautiful." Plus, his "intro" of sorts sends chills down my spine. Sinclair was a massive dick (at first), but his accent and his jovial attitude made him easy to warm up to. You cared about him despite his dickishness. I even got a little choked up when we last see him.

My favourite character has to be the Big Daddies. From your first encounter to your last, they are always powerful enemies who will take you apart in seconds if you slip up. Plus, hypnotizing a big daddy and sending it at a horde of soon to be shredded splicers is rated as one of my top 5 guilty pleasures in gaming.

I always liked Fontaine, for some reason. I'm not even entirely sure on what he did before Jack showed up, apart from being involved with smuggling and being a general pest to Ryan.
I think it was just his voice. What can I say? I like broad accents.

Doctor Tenenbaum, come on look at her...

And I always thought her accent is really sexy...

I think Mark Meltzer is my second favorite; I mean, the man had nerves of steel, an epic quest, and it took a frikkin' big sister to finally kill him!

However, my favorite period is Gracy Holloway, and not just because she bares a frankly uncanny resemblence to my grandmother. As you storm up to her room, you can tell that she's a really good, caring person, and if Elenor hadn't wound up as a little sister, she'd probably be helping you along; it's just nice to see someone in Rapture who has a heart.

I felt kind of sympathetic towards Andrew Ryan. I mean he actualy managed to build an entire underwater city. ADAM issues aside, if he wasn't so stingy with contact with the surface world, he would've been a big success... maybe.
