Long before Pong, games were mostly made up of cardboard and plastic. What are some of your favorite board games?
Personally, I enjoy Chess, Go (it is really hard to find someone who knows how to play that) and Dungeons and Dragons.

EDIT: Forgot Catan and Carcassone.

RISK!

Also Monopoly, Cluedo, Yahtzee, Rummikub, Go, Solar Trader and the Lord Of The rings game.

EDIT - Since their being counted (apparently) I'll also add D&D, Warhammer and Warhammer 40k.

Noughts and Crosses... but dont forget, only n00bs take the middle on their first go because you are nevr going to get anything other than a draw with that tactic so we have a gentlemans agreement. :D

Monopoly! No one can best me at that. Oh and chess.
Is that a challenge, my fellow real estate tycoon?

Monopoly, obviously. I also enjoy a good game of chess. Not sure if D&D counts since you don't really need the miniatures, but I'll still say 3.5 D&D.

Talisman, Settlers of Catan (with various expansions, but in German so half of us don't understand what's going on)... Used to play a bit more chess, I'm sure I've got a rosette around here somewhere from a competition, even if it is tragically pink.

I find pen-and-paper RPGs to be a bit more abstract than board games, though D&D frequently uses them, and Warhammer and all that counts more as an "Entire tabletop game" rather than "Board". If we're including these, then D&D and Necromunda these days, respectively.

Yes but i have to be the thimble or it doesnt count.
Three way, I got dibs on teh BatelShipz
Damn that would be cool to get an escapist monopoly game going. Do the bargain bin PC monopoly games have online multiplayer?
Dunno, but something must be done about this, the Challenge must be taken up!

EDIT - last time I played one of those computer versions it kinda sucked. Plus I believe the game is improved by a few custom rules I use.

Yay! Fellows that still play the 3.5 version! Solar and Pit Fiend for life! I also like Domino, Jenga, Othello, Scrabble and Taboo.

Arkham Horror, Carcassonne (Hunters and Gatherers), RoboRally and Space Hulk, to namedrop but a few.

I like my games both digital and analogue.

I used to love playing Risk but now it's really boring.
Risk is a great game for backstabbing, much like A Game of Thrones. It always manages to cause bad blood between players.

Hmmmm...Monopoly, Settlers of Catan, Risk, Battleships and Cluedo. I barely play those, but I know I like them a lot. I would also love to play D&D, Warhammer and Warhammer 40K games.
