The Legend of Drizzt series is good if you like fantasy and magic and that kinda stuff. There's over a dozen books in the series, so they'll keep you busy for a while.

I love Discworld, and have recently read A Thousand Splendid Suns, which was superb.

Also, Ian M. Banks' Sci-Fi series seems awesome (though I've only read Matter).

i like robert harris, fatherland was the best and archangel while not as good still amazed me with everything, i think the thing about him i shtat apart from making a good conspirisy thriller he makes believeable characters as well.

also the inheritence cycle by christopher poilini is good, although i have to admit the second (i'm unsure if the fourth is out) (probably not at this point) laked a certain, well.... SOMETHING that the others had, the third is good to but the first book is still resoundingly good

I am a fan of The Day of the Triffids (couldn't stand the recent drama programme of it though).

Oh, and I enjoyed Dracula immensely too.

Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk.
It was one of the only books that I've read that have kept my interest and entertainment throughout the entire thing.

The Honor Harington series by David Weber as well as his Safehold series. I also really like the Skolian Empire saga by Cathrin Asaro. And finally Neruomancer by William Gibson.

Best. Fantasy. Ever.
And i would reccomend the Mallorean (the five books that come after the Belgariad)

Anything by Terry Brooks is well worth a read too
The Night Angel Trilogy is also absolutely fantastic.
One of my favourite series. Go look it up now. yes, now.
You can thank me later.

THE WHEEL OF TIME SERIES! Yes! Sll twelve of the core books! They're all amazing reads. It's as realistic as a fantasy series can be. You care about all the characters, and you really want to see what happens next. Robert Jordan was (is, seeings as he left plenty of notes, partial chapters, and notes for the end of the series before his death) extremely descriptive of the cutures and places in the book, but is by no means dry, as some people found Tolkien's writings (not me, I loved Lord of the Rings and the Silmarillion). The series flows so very well. He made it feel like you were living in their world.

It'll take you a month or two to get through them all, as some of the books top close to a thousand pages. But you wont realise how long you've been reading until there's nothing left but to wait for the last two installments.
