The Internet has created a lot of celebrities and cultural fads over the years, often of a very special type that would otherwise be lost to the oblivion of a Netless world. What's surprising is how powerful these sensations can often be in our every day lives, so I thought it would be fun for the Escapist to talk about all of our favorite/most influential in your life people to come from the Internet. Or they can just be some poor boob with no shame and a video camera. Who are they? Why do you love them? Why do you hate them? Any favorite memories of sharing a particular meme?
For me, I'll have to start off this list with the hosts of the GSL, Tasteless and Artosis. While not quite a meme, these two are making esports available and relate-able to the masses. For those of you who don't know, Tasteless and Artosis are the English casters for the Global Starcraft II League broadcasted by gomtv.net. Tasteless has been at it for a few years with many different co-hosts, but Artosis is by far the best. They have a great chemestry, and make my favorite sport so much more exciting and entertaining to watch. They're funny, knowledgeable, charismatic, and able to make something as obscure as an esport the highlight of my day. So, who do my fellow Escapists love/worship/revere?
