(Brawl-Minus Mod) - Sonic, Snake, Ganondorf, Samus, Charizard... actually... this list could go on for a while.

In general I prefer Samus. But if I want to be a jerk, I play as Marth. He was a bit weaker in the Wii entry, but on the Gamecube he was all but unbeatable.

my best is Ike, though i'm also great with Link. there are a number of other characters i kick ass with but won't list them all. why did they get rid of Mewtwo? Lucario is great but Mewtwo was awesome. and, NO, they are NOT the same!

Kirby.

Inhale enemy, step off cliff, float back up.

Also fun, Donkey Kong, pick up enemy, step off cliff. Especially if you're playing stock mode and they're down to their last life and you're not.

Well-balanced, if a bit slow, and just all-around strong.

Melee: Yoshi, Zelda (never Sheik), Link
Sure, Sheik is faster, but she has worse recovery, poor special moves (the chain is cool, but c'mon, it can't do shit for damage), and isn't really strong enough to knock opponents out. Zelda, on the other hand, is, well, the opposite, and I am much more effective with her. Yoshi tends to surprise people in my hands. Nothing really special, I just tend to play really smart as Yoshi in Melee.

Brawl: Lucario, Dedede, Zelda, Sonic
My main tends to be Lucario, because he's like a character almost specially built for my play style: win by attrition. I LOVE the idea of a character that gets stronger as he racks up more damage. Kudos to Nintendo for that idea. I also like playing as Dedede, Zelda (again), and... please nobody kill me... Sonic. Sonic is just fun, and I don't care what anyone else thinks.

Kirby. Seriously, I'm undefeated with Kirby amongst my friends. We even played 3v1, no items, no team damage, 7 lives in stock on many different maps and I still beat 'em with lives to spare.

Zelda is GOD if you know how to use her.
So is Lucas.

Long ranged attacks for the win (as long as you don't spam) and both have farther reach in normal attacks as well due to their magic affinity.

Fox, though I hate what happened to him in Brawl. In fact I dislike Brawl in general, Melee was where it was and in my opinion still is at.

Mm, I rotate between Pit, Pikachu, and Lucas. For SSBB64 I always did Pika, and I added Ness in Melee... and later switched him out for Lucas.
Primarily though.. hmmm.
