Apologies if this has been done to death, but I've got a topic for all my fellow Shadow of the Colossus cultists. Which of the Sixteen is your favorite to fight? Mine has to be either the underwater eel (shat brix first time I saw it, I'm still awestruck every time I see it), or the second bull.

EDIT: decided I don't like the turtle that much.

Phalanx, obviously. It's a beautiful, imaginative fight, and the thing's a quarter of a mile long.

Number 13, the flying Sand Dragon, Phalanx. Holding on for dear life has never been so awesome.

EDIT: Ninja'd, dammit.

And also apologies that I don't know the official names of the Colossi :p
And while we're on the topic, might someone clear up what exactly the deal is with the end? I've played the game over and over, but still have no idea what just happened.

Final boss.
God damn that fight is epic.
And hilarious, as my friend was convinced he could reach the boss by "gears-ing" it over to the boss instead of taking the tunnels.

the ending was weird but like the game 'artey'

{i think that domin was useing the main dude to kill off the collsius so he could live again through your dude [thats why he grew horns after a few bosses]. so the preist sealed domin away before any damage was done which included sealing you. but luckly you lived being reborne as a babby with horns and your girl friend was revived as well}
hooray for happy endings

The giant bird Colossus that you fight over the lake, or the 3rd Colossus, Gaius.

Yeah, actually it's just Gaius. I love fighting him.

They were all awesome: except the tiny one. HE WAS EVIL.

One word described my battle with him: HAAAAAAARD. I couldn't figure out what to do! The only other one that took that long was the turtle, and that's because for some reason the thing wouldn't respond properly.

In my opinion, it's the best boss battle ever. What makes that remarkable is that it doesn't even attack you. Nothing beats having Agro run at full pelt alongside it, and then leaping from his back onto the Colossus. Awesome.

That was No. 11, wasn't it? That was the low point of the game for me, because if he knocked you down, the instant you got up he would knock you down again. And again.

When Wander kills a Colossus, a fragment of the Dormin enters him; that's what those black tentacle things were about. By the end, all 16 fragments have been reunited, and the Dormin is able to reform itself, "borrowing" Wander's body to do so. Unfortunately for the Dormin, because Wander had been shot in the leg shortly before, he still had a limp, so couldn't really chase Emon's men. Emon then manages to exorcise the Dormin from Wander and (temporarily) imprison him. However, because the Dormin isn't "evil" in the conventional sense, it doesn't kill Wander, instead reverting him to a child so that he can live his life again. But, because a part of the Dormin still remains in Wander, he retains the horns.

I liked #15, huge badass with a sword. Also some very interesting criticals. He is also one of the few that just outright attacks you, so the pressure is a little higher.
