Elite Beat Agents.

Oh so zany. Nothing like convincing aliens music and dancing are awesome by whipping out some moves to the tune of YMCA.

Chrono Trigger DS, Ace Attorney series, Hotel Dusk: Room 215...

Six games right there that I enjoyed.

Also look into Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. It's a bit punishing at times, but fun nonetheless.

Advance Wars Days of Ruin stole pretty much most of last year for me. The mechanics are now really well balanced and the story is at least passable. Plus if you ask me Dual Strike can't even hold a match with it's broken tag system, useless/clone CO's and game breaking CO ranking system, and it's poor side games like Survival and Combat.
However reviewers prefer the latter simply because it had more stuff, not for actual quality of extras.

Professor Layton and the Curious Village. It's pure awesome, you feel like the smartest person on the planet when you get a puzzle right.

Oh, oh and Mario Kart!

One of my current favorite DS games is Kirby Super Star Ultra. It's simple platforming at its finest.

ELITE BEAT AGENTS. Fucking quality. It's fun, quirky, simple and bastardly hard.

I've been having a huge blast with Chrono Trigger DS. I also like the physical freedom that comes with bashing up enemies in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time.

New Super Mario Bros, if you're in to that kinda thing.
Absolutely. It's like playing old-school Mario. It really is.
NO JUST NO

It was terrible, there was only 2 powerups(not including the giant mushroom)

Super Mario World 3 is waaaaaaay better, and they remade that for advance

The Phoenix Wright series. Not really one in particular, but if I had to choose one, I guess I'd go with Trials and Tribulations.

Elite Beat Agents was worth the buy and one of the most difficult games I've played. Here's hoping for a sequel.

Side note, I think a typing tutor with EBA gameplay would be interesting.

Final Fantasy Tactics A2 is my drug. Its predecessor was still played reuglarly by me three years after I got it, and A2 promises to be even more addicting and replayable.

Chrono Trigger, as that and GTA Chinatown Wars are the only games I own on my DS.

Disgaea ds -turn based strat but lots of stuff to do after the end. Though can be tedious with level farming after the end.

Elite Beat Agents.

That game is sublime. I have no clue what it is about it that I like; the music choices are horrible, the art is typical anime stuff and the gameplay just tapping the screen... and yet I was addicted to the game for seemingly ages till I'd unlocked and beaten every mission and every difficulty, then beaten em again till I'd mastered them... kinda embarrassing really.

Recently I played through Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars on the DS and it's actually really, really good. Probably the best port of an old-school point & click adventure game to date. Kinda short, but certainly worth it!

Oh, and you can never go wrong with any of the Advance Wars games. Dual Strike was my favorite, but others seem to like Days of Ruin more. Both are excellent, can't go wrong either way really.
