Does that really work? I've never used melee in fallout 3 but crushing scorpions with hammer sounds awesome. Do you roll with power armor too?PedroSteckecilo said:only thing it currently sucks against are Radscorpions, but I have a handy dandy sledgehammer for them.
No problem, i had the same confusion too... one can't help wondering if the Gatling Laser is in BOTH of those weapon classes, hmmm?Zantos said:Hmmmmmm. Well I had that maxed too so probably didn't notice. I shall bear that in mind for future playthroughs though, thanks for the info.Heroes and Cons said:Actually in Fallout 3, the Gatling Laser and it's variants, such as the Vengeance, run off the Big Guns stat.Zantos said:Vengeance. If you can afford to run it, it just minces EVERYTHING! Also helped by my maxed out energy weapons.
I only ever used it for close range power so never bothered with the precision, I had my Gauss rifle for longer range encounters. I tried Mothership Zeta but there was a bug which stopped you being able to complete it at the time so I waited for a patch, then I forgot about it.Heroes and Cons said:No problem, i had the same confusion too... one can't help wondering if the Gatling Laser is in BOTH of those weapon classes, hmmm?Zantos said:Hmmmmmm. Anyway, did you pick up the Precision Gatling Laser, in Broken Steel? That thing rival's Fawkes for the Accuracy / Pwnage ratio, i'm not kiddingNot as strong as Vengeance but definitely better at range. It pretty much makes any ranged Small Gun pointless.
Just completed Mothership Zeta, not as good as Broken Steel but great fun, I love the Atomic Pulveriser (unique alien atomizer)... with Action Boy, 10 Agility and Reilly's Ranger Comat Armor, I can pull off 9-10 shots in VATS, with Plasma-Rifle-level damage!![]()
Hmmm, i love the Gauss Rifle in NV but haven't got it in Fallout 3, i don't have Op. Anchorage. I heard the Gauss Rifle is glitched in Fallout 3 though, so my biggest draw for buying Anchorage is now putting me OFF buying it. Is Anchorage worth it for the items you can get?Zantos said:I only ever used it for close range power so never bothered with the precision, I had my Gauss rifle for longer range encounters. I thought overall Op Anchorage was pretty good, I used to (damn motherboard) have a save from directly before it just so I could play it whenever I wanted. The other items are a bit lame, but the gauss was pretty good. Don't know what you mean about glitched, someone ridiculously overpowered since it only required 1 MFC to take out anything, but then this is the game that also had the experimental mirv. Don't know if it's worth it on it's own though, I just got it as part of the GOTY and thought it was pretty fun.Heroes and Cons said:Hmmm, i love the Gauss Rifle in NV but haven't got it in Fallout 3, i don't have Op. Maybe it's only glitched in VATS? Anyway the Chinese Stealth Armor sounds good in combination with the Gauss Rifle or Victory Rifle, is it true it's like a permanent Stealth Boy when you wear it? It would be fantastic in combination with the Gauss / Victory Rifle if it it (yeah i love yhe Victory, it's muthafrickin' epic) XDZantos said:I thought overall Op Anchorage was pretty good, I used to (damn motherboard) have a save from directly before it just so I could play it whenever I wanted. I had no idea, I didn't use anything stealthy and I didn't use the rifle in VATS. The gauss rifle had a scope so I just used that. Maybe someone else can tell you.Heroes and Cons said:Maybe it's only glitched in VATS?
