The one thing I love about GG (and this probably applies for BB as well), while it may only have a few characters, each of them are unique and different (instead of having in Street Fighter, about 8 or so characters with nearly the exact same moveset), it's easy to pick up but hard to master, it's high paced, and its flashy and all around fun..while having a rocking soundtrack to boot.

And those Samurai Shodown characters look might interesting, I might go and pick up the anthology for the Wii next time I go out.
Its a fun fighter.
IMO its slower and very Technical but, once you find a few characters that fit your style its a Blast.
And with each character specializing in a type of weapon it adds to the uniqueness of the characters Styles.
I like 5 the best.
Mostly because of the character roster and because the Creator of Rurouni Kenshen did the Character Designs for the game.

Wait how'd you play Continuum Shift already? I thought it was only out in arcades in Asian. Anyway I have to say Bang Shishigami from BlazBlue and Raiden from Mortal Kombat.
The arcade version of the game got leaked onto the internet, so some people have played it on the PC. It's the standard arcade mode where you go through and fight 10 battles, with practice and score attack present. Yea...I downloaded it. Although because of the game getting leaked, it might have been a factor in them including additional characters into the console release like Mu-12, Makoto and possibly Kokonoe.
Wait, wait, wait.... I thought the console version was just getting Mu-12? You're saying Kokonoe might be in it? But why Makoto? She's seen in like one scene in the first game. Why can't we get Jubei? :(
Some arcades in the US have CS machines. There's a whole list of em on Dustloop. Traveled to Chinatown in NYC just to get my fix. XD

We're getting Mu-12 on the console. She'll be unlocked after beating story mode. Makoto will come out as DLC in August. She'll be like $5. We'll also get 2 other DLC characters in the months following which are speculated to be Valkenhayn and Platina the Trinity.

We are NOT getting Jubei or Kokonoe in CS. The creator of Blazblue, Toshimichi Mori said so himself.
That's kind of odd to see DLC characters in a fighting game... in fact I don't think I have ever heard of that happening.
Mhmm. Arc System Works is the first company to be doing this. They no longer have to come out with a whole new game and charge you an outrageous price for another disc. Just pay a lil more for each new character and that's it. And with CS only costing $40 it's not unreasonable at all. We're also getting a re-balancing patch 6 months after it comes out, which is free. So you'll get even more life out of your copy of CS.

The only downside I can see is not finding out what happens in the third installment sooner. Maybe if they stretch CS's lifespan out long enough they can have have a fully animated story mode in the 3rd game! :D

... One can dream...

Hmmm..now if only they'd release it for PC, then I'd be a happy gamer. Or hell at teh very least do another PSP port like they did with CS. I'd buy a better game pad if it came out on the PC, but i guess they are afraid of piracy and all that jazz.

I wish I had a PS3 solely for fighting games and the controller. The 360 D-Pad is garbage... I'm considering buying a custom built controller from my local game store with a functional D-Pad :p

Haha I'm actually quite fond of the visual novel-esque style we have in story mode now. Though I would like more cutscenes, even if the ones for CS look like the only have so-so animation.

Really?
This isn't making my Decision for which system to get next any easier though....
But the controller may be the deciding factor.

If the PS3 controller is better for games like BB than that's a Major +.

The controller is going to need to be responsive and comfortable for me, playing GG XX A Core + on the Wii with a Game Cube controller isn't really fun, especially if you have been fighting Boss I-NO for 2 hours.

Here is the deciding factor when picking which console. Can you run Mass Effect on your PC? If your answer is "No" then by a 360 :p

I think SoulCalibur is a pretty cool guy. eh fights aleins and doesnt afraid of anything.

OT: Nighmare, and his big swords with eyeballs in 'em (also the oar from SC2 is cool).

Haha AC on Wii was awful. Bought AC+ for PS2 as soon as I could.

PS3 controller is far more responsive and input friendly than the 360 controller. Hell it's when I go back and play BB on 360 that I realize how truly clunky the damn thing is. Inputs not going off when I clearly put em in (tested in Training so I know it's not me being scrubby, new controllers too) and don't even get me started on that d-pad. Had to become an analog stick fighter just to adapt.

PS3 controller has precise inputs, a working d-pad (though i'm not accustomed to the analog sticks so I use them instead), responsive analog sticks and the like. My hands don't get cramped up after a long session either, though they did on the 360 controller.

I'd say it's an all around better controller for fighters along with the PS3 being an all around better system to play on. Plus, what if you want to play online?

360 = $50

PS3 = free

lol.
I still love it on the Wii, i have a Classic Controller + but, the position of the Analog Stick is really weird and the A Stick is what im used to.
Tried playing TvC with it and it was like the first day i got the game all over agan.
The CPUs walked all over me.
It also took me 2 hours to beat Boss I-No mostly because im still an Average player at GG, iv just now started to get some good moves and the Overdrive for Johnny down.

And iv never played a Fighter where the Overdrives/Hyper/ETC require more than one movement with the Analog Stick, so that's new.

The abundance of JRPGs and Fighters for the PS3 is awesome and Free Multiplayer is great, so it more than likely gonna be the one i go with...once i get the cash.
Plus my friends have started to become Multi Console people, meaning no matter which one i get i can still game with them.
Im trying to get a friend of mine into BB, i brought my Wii to his house a while back and he loved GG.
He got one of the Games for his PsP and said it was pretty good.
