my first choice would be kunimitsu from tekken tag i loved her move list, i got good enough with her where i could end the game within a few seconds (against a comp that is) with a 4 move combo

my second choice would be zelda (not shiek) from SSBB, or link from any SSB game

Soul Calibur: Siegfried
Mortal Kombat: Sub-Zero
Smash Brothers: Solid Snake.
Tekken: Sort of torn between Kazuya and Hwaorang..i know its kind of hard to compare them, but i do enjoy playing as both of them.

My favs for each fighter i still play.

GGXXAC - Eddie. Best puppet based character ever made and it shows. And ya, i defiantly know how broken he is.

Mahvel Baybee(Mvc2 for most people) - Sentinel or Iron man. Its just that i like how he can set the pace to the match, and he can hit so hard if you just screw up a little. that + drones assist, unfly unblockable lasers, and HSF, = pwnt scrubs. And IM is just awesome. He's a bit clunky, but his assist controls a lot of space and his infinite is really easy to pull off.

BB - Noel. Great rushdown, crazy mixups into HUGE combos (6.5k combo on Tager?!?!), dodge dead angle, and very good air abare. But no combos after safe lows on standing characters is really fucking stupid. I should be able to do 2b, or 2c into an ok combo (2.5-3k), but w/e, she still knows how to get me my money :p . Tager would be my second fav cause of all the resets and magnetism shenanigans. But no anti-airs that work right, and having 2 3/7 and 2 1/9 matches is fucking retarded. He works online and vs people that dont know how to play top tiers, but once someone knows what their doing shows up, your pretty much going to get skull fucked if you stick with tager.

3s - Urien. Unblockable Aegis reflector setups and chariot tackle loops are fucking dope... Need is say more? Also Yun + Geni-jin = me being sad he isn't in SSF4 T.T

SF4 - Abel. Great mix-up and rushdown. And he confuses the hell out of people that dont play him (which is 90% of people that play SF4) standing light is awesome for footies (stuffs shoto cr. mk) st mp beats all self propelled attacks (besides cannondrill cause its too low) But his bad matches are really fucking bad. like 2/8 to 3/7 bad. It just annoys the shit out of me when i lose just cause of match-up and not cause i had to fight a better player.

And last but not least...

SSF2T - Claw (vega/balrog). Cause im a dirty, shameless bastard. Easy links, great pokes, easy as hell tick throw set ups, off the wall shenanigans and more stupid shit that makes him awesome. Kinda bad on wake up, and he sucks ass v blanka but w/e.
I care more about function more then aesthetics, and I try to rushdown with whoever i play with.

Well, like with Tekkaman and Zero, i don't use him cheaply.
But, i know EXACTLY what you mean.
Cable is hard for me to use and i HATE HIM.
Almost as much as Saki.
I just need to practice as him.

Captain Commando and War Machine was my main team in the First Marvel VS Capcom.
I only started with MvC2
You should give the older ones a try.
Marvel Super heroes VS Super Street Fighter is a really good one.
Street Fighter Vs X-Men was also cool.
Actually, the original X-Men fighting game was pretty cool too.

The only one I don't like is the new one MvC2 for the PS3 and 360. Stupid dumbed down control scheme. Almost everything is fireball motion (d,df,f + P or K)and why they would remove the MK and MP buttons after all these years is beyond me.
You obviously have no fucking idea at all how to play marvel. MVC2 is probably one of the most complex and unforgivingly hard to execute fighting game to date next to GG simply on the demand on the player. Guard brakes, unblockable setups, infinite combos, and attacks that can lead into infinite combos that come out in 1/60th of a second. You mess up or combo or approch, and you could be punished with a 90%+ combo. Ya, OBVIOUSLY this game is so easy to play cause they got rid of the medium buttons.
Heres a little peak at how 'simple' this game is.

Scorpion WINS!

Eddie Gordo. The original breakdancing (caporiora?) ass-kicker. Can knock you out with a handstand-windmill-kick!

I've only ever really played the Tekken series and I just went to go look up the characters on line to remember the name of my favourite and now I want to play Tekken 2 again. I bloody loved that game.

Alex from Tekken 2

Armour King, also from Tekken 2

Gooooood Times.
sigh.
I should edit my original post. But I'll add Ragna The Bloodedge.
Blazblue was awesome when i played in my local arcade the other day.
I think Haiku-Man is going to be my favorite character.
Holy cr*p! You have an actual local arcade! I haven't seen one of those since I was in High School. I didn't even know they made those anymore!

I think the last time I was in an arcade, the games included:
Killer Instinct (Orchid was cool though Cinder had a cheap 99 hit combo)
Street Fighter Alpha 2 and Mortal Kombat 3 (I never could get into MK)
Tekken and Virtua Fighter 2

These games date me I think... Either way, lucky you!
Yea, mine has all the old Capcom VS plus SNK VS Capcom 2000 and Marvel VS Capcom 2.
Its got some good fighters like Rage of the Dragons and Tekken 6 as well and some cool Shooters and one game that can be described as a Rail Slasher.
It recently got a machine called a Dream Fighter, which is basically a fancy looking Cabinet that you can hook up an Xbox360 too.
It had Blazblue in it and it was AWESOME.
Its a lot harder than Guilty Gear and a bit slower paced but, overall it was fun.
