I love the end segment of halo 3, and Gears 2. Also Mass Effect needs a mention as the plot at the end section was excellent.
Oh and all the zelda games, i always love the last boss. Though my favourite is Twilight Princess.

I'd say Metroid Prime but that's been said numerous times. To this day I've yet to see anyone disprove my theory that the Impact Crater's theme was created by distorting the sounds of an upset/hungry stomach.

Goldeneye's final missions bring back positive, if sometimes frusturated, memories. Of the three (Cradle and the two hidden ones) I'd say Aztec has the best music but Egyptian feels the most like a final level. Ironically I've never even seen 'Live and Let Die' but even the short clip of Baron Samedi's laughter Goldeneye plays can be alarming sometimes, especially when the temple begins to gradually fall into complete darkness.

While I also love all of the Zelda final boss fights (not including CD-i of course =P), I'd have to disagree with you on Twilight Princess. It was certianly epic, and while the various stages of the fight were well made and interesting (my favorite is the Epona section), turning the final swordfight with Ganon into being heavily reliant on a quick-time event was a no-no. I would have to say my favorite zelda final boss fight is the OOT ending, because both of Ganon's forms were fun to fight, and it shut Navi the hell up for at least 2 seconds.

Hehe. I too loved the endgame of Metroid Prime, but I think I liked Prime 3's endgame the best out of the trilogy. Sure the final boss was a little disappointing, but the atmosphere was perfect.

The last couple levels of CoD 4 were appropriately hectic and nerve-wracking.

Deus Ex's last "stage" was really cool too. "Here's a huge-ass level. Here's three endings. Have fun!"

End of the Godfather game is exactly like the Godfather movie but you get to play it. Michael Corleone is at a baptism while you go out and just massacre every other gang boss.

End of Hitman 1. Agent 47 clones everywhere all with superpowered guns and you're just running around shooting yourself basically.

KOTOR. Fight between you and Malik while he's draining health from all these chumps in stasis tubes. All the level before that is sweet as well because you're coming across heaps of dark jedi and you just woop them.

A couple of people have said it already but the last level in CoD4 (not the epilogue), it's so cool how it goes into slow motion and you get to drill the arms dealer who's name escapes me and his 2 henchmen

The last area in Tales of Symphonia. Very complex in a cool, psychedelic way. Each section had its own different feel too it.
