Blizzard is the go to company when it comes to cutscenes really. Since all of my favourites have been posted, gonna go with others.

Say what you will about the expansions, but this was just grand.

Blizzard does exceptional cinematics, but I think they're already pretty well covered by other posters, so let's go with this:

There's a lot about it that I like, ranging from the choreography, the way the characters interact, the way they establish the villain as a real threat, to the the music...ESPECIALLY the music.

I know it's not pre rendered CGI, but it looks lovely nonetheless.

Too bad the game is pretty much canceled.

I would suggest the Yakuza series and MGS series. Also DMC 3 and 4.
But if you are also looking for cinematic experiences, not just CG, try also the Uncharted series and Heavy Rain.
But, to answer your question, my favorite cg intro is the one from Tekken 5.

Followed closely by the intro to Onimusha 3.

I've never played the game or anything but, for me at least, the Fable 3 trailer is one of the coolest I've seen...

All the weapon movies in Final fantasy 7 are excellent and still make the hairs on the back of my neck tingle when i watch them. I'm not going to link them because if you don't know what i'm talking about then go play the game!

Do Meet the Team videos count?

Not the really since it's rendered ingame, so it isn't CGI.
Do you even know what "CGI" stands for? Of course it counts. And yes, TF2 videos get my vote.

Generally, opening and ending videos in games suck. Nine times out of ten, they're just some guy growling exposition over bits of concept art. Luckily, some avoid it, like the ones shown in this thread. But then plenty fail...like the ones in this thread.

Would people stop putting videos in spoiler boxes? They tend to crash browsers.

Nostalgia Nuke in 3...2...1...

Come to think of it, most CGI Cutscenes from the 90's/00 era. Game Companies these days are LAZY when it comes to this sort of thing X3

Hmm...Now that I think about it, all of my favorite cutscenes are from very cartoony looking games, mostly very silly ones...Conker's Bad Fir Day, Serious Sam 2, Sam & Max series, American McGee's Alice.....

Even though the game got some flak, the trailer was awesome. I really hoped the atmosphere would've been the one showed in the trailer.

I have yet to find such a perfect video for it, but the Infamous 2's intro cutscenes along with the whole introduction/tutorial level was so epic for words in establishing the original game's status quo and the main threat he is facing in the game in that short amount of time without losing epicness.

Napoleon and Shogun 2 Total War had a very cool CGI introductions as well.

And like the OP I think the into for Civilization 5 was really impressive as well. Gods and Kings on the other hand...

Has to be Resident Evil 4 for me. I'm no fan of CGI, intro videos, or in-game videos in general, I usually find them pointless, but with the RE4 videos, I really paid attention for a change, and not just because of the button mashing sequences.
It was especially true when I got the the part with the midget Napolean git, I thought that was very well done, amusing even in an RE game.

Onimusha 3: Demon Siege. It's not even a question, there is no CGI cutscene that looks as good or is as memorable to me. I've seen it a thousand times and still get chills running up and down my spine.

Another great from the PS2 era would be the painfully forgotten Rygar: The Legendary Adventure

I will say that it is the best teaser of all time. Short, in game, and awesome.
