Why yes I do have a favorite giant robot, and it's name is Zearth, from the anime Bokurano, which everyone should see at some point. Here's a related video:

I'm thinking my most favorite of the Evas is probably Eva 02, though. Especially after Rebuild 2.xx. 'Za Beasto' mode is simply awesome.

That's a touch choice between Gurren Lagann and Eva Unit 01.

Though, well, I don't know if they count as giant robots exactly, but the Tachikomas from GITS are pretty much the best robots in all of ever.
