As a gun nut there are too many to pick from. I can get it down to two favorite types though, lever actions and revolvers. My favorite period of guns is from the 1860's to world war I. I love so many guns from that period. The Lee Enfield No. 1 Mark III SMLE (formerly called the Mark III.) and Mausar 1898 are my favorite bolt action military rifles from this time period.

M16. Think American version of the AK-47 its gotta be good. The original not any of the A variants though.

the M16 and the AK47 are nothing alike. The original M16 was crap in comparison to the AK47.

The AK47 was indestructible, while the Vietnam era M16 was unreliable, jammed constantly, overheated and was byzantine in operation.
Secondly the two guns were designed nothing alike, one fires the 556 the other the 762. Sure they both used gas pistons but it's obvious one was superior with the AK47 still actually being produced in all as compared to the now defunct M16A1 and THERE HAS TO BE AN "A" there, that's how it was designated.

My favorite gun?
The Mini Gun. It's not really a "gun" but it has gun in its name!

Never said it was better because America can never copy awesomeness. I'd have an AK-47 over M16 any day it is just the look and idea of the gun which makes me like it so much. It was supposed to counteract the AK-47 on the American side excuse me if American version wasn't clear.The original was just M16 and was apdopted by the Airforce so I guess that the first one it really wasn't a counteract. The A1 and A2 were adopted by the Army later on.

Favourite gun? The Ork Shokk Attack Gun from Warhammer 40k. It shoots snotlings (little green things with sharp teeth and claws) through the warp, driving them mad in the process, and they usually end up inside their target, and then proceed to frantically claw and bite their way out. Not a pleasant way to go...

G36, it looks so fuckign awesome.
I wanna have a docter inejct my sperm in it, so it'll give birth to small droids with g36's for arms, and they'll help me conqour the world.

The gun does not turn me on or anything, but having gun-for-arms droids, R2D2-ish, is much more compelling than having children for me at least.
