An odd choice perhaps, but more than one soldier in Dwarf Fortress is just too awesome. Losing the ability to walk did not stop my Legendary Speardwarf from making goblin shish kabobs with his trusty spear.

But some of the stuff you read about in Let's Plays is just wow.

I'd say Lee Everett from Telltale's The Walking Dead, that aside maybe Barbara Gordon, a real cleverboots that was unfortunately disabled by the Joker and put in a wheelchair. Unfortunate.

Accelerator from a certain magical index. Needs a crutch and essentially becomes a vegetable after 15 to 30 minutes of fighting. but he can destroy almost anybody in that time frame.

Do the Joker and Deadpool count? They are strictly speaking from a mental health point of view mentally handicapped.

Does Riddick count? Because he cannot see in any form of bright light without his goggles.

I suppose if you want to go for someone with a more obvious 24/7 physical handicap Professor-X is right at the top of kick ass wheelchair users.

Now, League of Legends is hardly the best at introducing great characters, but I always thought that Jericho Swain, Master Swagtician (and Grand General of Noxus) was the pimpingest badass sonofagun to ever lean heavily on a cane.

Such a boss.

Swain is my go to champ in League of Legends. I love his play style and his cold, calculated personality....ALSO HES A FREAKIN RAVEN!

He's pretty much only handicapped while he's walking around normally, but once he flips his switch, he goes from cripple to ultimate destroyer of everything. He'll, he's even shown himself to be proficient in murdering the shit out of tons of people while being crippled.

I can't believe Big Boss hasn't been mentioned yet. The guy had his eye shot out and yet he still saves the world multiple times.

Kudos to Toph, Joker and Bentley mentions, though; they are pretty awesome.

EDIT: Ack, and Zaeed Massani too for also having one eye.

i am pretty sure loosing one eye just makes you more badass.
and why doesn't Zaeed have an replacement eye, i am pretty sure the tech exists in the ME universe.

I just realized that there's only been one mention of mental handicaps so far. So, I'd like to introduce you all to someone.

Adrian Monk, from USA's "Monk" suffers from severe OCD. Resulting from his unhealthy attention to detail, he becomes a super detective. He's probably one of the greatest detectives ever, right after Batman, Sherlock Holmes, L, and Shawn Spencer.

Majority of muscle mass in one leg gone due to an infarction (necrosis of tissue due to lack of oxygen from a blood clot), constant pain buffered by a severe opiate addiction. Still one of, if not the best diagnostician in the world of the show.

Not to mention he parks a honda fucking fireblade in a disabled space
