Favorite Holiday

Inluding your birthday, what is your favorite holiday and why?
Mine would be Halloween, because
1.)Its the only time of year I can be evil and persuasive and get away with it.(dont ask)
2.)it has always been comercialised, so people cant say things like "*spit* its becoming WAY too comercialised"
3.)FREE CANDY!!!!!
4.)I get to spend all day dressed up like an idiot, playing video games and watching movies while eating candy with my friends.
5.)did I say FREE CANDY!!!???
6.)Its the only holiday that organized religion cant have ^_^
7.)I like "Trick-or-Treating" out with my little cousins
8.)cool music
9.)Wiccen girls are hot (not goth, wiccen) and you can tell who's wiccen on Halloween
10.)oh yeah, and there's free candy as well

True, but the Catholic church sure tries hard to ruin it by immediately following it with All Saints' Day, which they claim is a Holy Day Of Obligation. But that's neither here nor there.

Back on topic, my favorite holiday...Groundhog Day. Because Bill Murray is awesome, that's why.

Definitely Halloween. As you mentioned you can dress up in the most weird ass costume of all time and still be acceptable. Also all those cheesy horror movies and tv series come back on tv again (tales from the crypt goodness). It's a day where scaring the shit out of people for fun and can't get you into too much trouble (unless you go a little too far in your prank). Finally I was born in october so I claim most celebrations that happen in that month as my favorites.

Plus, who doesn't find it amazing when people go all out for Halloween? Seriously I must have grown up in the best neighborhood for it because it was almost tradition for everyone to one up each other. I remember one house had an awesome black cauldron witch's grotto scene going on. Another family made their huge ass yard into a graveyard with some zombies being decorations and others people in costumes. On family that lived back in the woods had a chainsaw massacre thing going on. On family had this creepy possessed doll makers store thing. *sigh* I miss that neighborhood.

My favorite is probably Valentine's Day. But then that should be an expected answer from someone so hopelessly in love.
