What are your favorite Indie Comic Books? I like Coco Gun-Bun, Crushed The Doomed Kitty Adventures, and Empowered.

I like the above 3 for various reasons- the consistent reason is humour.

Coco Gun-Bun has a very PG-13 vibe to it, which is ironic, considering the books involve a girl with guns fighting P.I.M.P. However, the guns and overall tone seem more in line with Darkwing Duck than the words guns and pimp would normally imply. None of Coco's guns thus far fire normal cartridges/bullets, they generally fire things like gum and tar. The closest she has to a normal gun is a needle gun. I loved Darkwing Duck when I was a kid, and the comic seems strongly reminiscent of the style.

Empowered actually has excellent character development, likeable characters with depth, and real originality. It tries to discuss Super Heroes from a more human perspective.

And Crushed is just plain Hilarious...not as good as Weasel Boy (made by the same authors) but still pretty good.

So what are your favorite Indie Comics and why do you like them?

Okay so it's not strictly indie, but I read Nextwave : Agent's of H.A.T.E. again for the first time in a few years. Once again my mind was blown by awesome-ness of it all.

As the theme song says "It's like Shakespeare...but with more punching, it's like Goethe...but with more crunching. It's like titanic...but the boat's still floating. No it's not! The mother____ing boat is exploding!"

Well depending on your definition of "indie" I have quite a few favorites.
Just off the top of my head
I Kill Giants
Chew
The Goon
and I just got Scud the Disposable Assassin so that should be interesting.

Awesome. I am definetly going to have to look into those. I heard about that while reading Marvel Zombies, but sadly I just never got around to getting them...
