Simple question: What is your favorite song lyric? Not full song, but a line or two from the song
Mine is a lyric of such inescapable beauty, such grace, that Macklemore had to put it at the beginning of this song, just to get it out of the way.
<spoiler=Contained for awesomeness>
WALK UP TO THE CLUB LIKE, "WHAT UP, I GOT A BIG COCK"

Perfect. Just perfect

Stagger Lee - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

in a similar theme to yours

I'm a bad mother fucker don't you know, and I'd crawl over fifty good pussies just to get to one fat boy's asshole, I'm Stagger Lee

You never told me that you loved me
I know you didn't know how
I guess that shows we're much the same
'Cause I love you too and until now
I've never said those words out loud

Any Ken Ashcorp fans here?

When you're this swag this world just bows at your knees...
And when I'm rock hard, I fucking rock hard!

"You have been, severed from this world!" by Coffin Texts. The raw primitive barbarity of the word selection, the implied cosmic vibe to it and the 'you're-so-fucking-doomed' way the vocalist delivers the line. I get shivers everytime I hear it. So savage.

The title "The War Was in Color" by Carbon Leaf has always struck a chord with me. Having Grandparents that fought and tried to describe that experience this song has always been one of my favorites.

So Raise, raise the flag once more
In the east the Eagle will be fed
So march, again we march to war
We will March for Victory or Death!

Pain, the pain and suffering
Is but a bleak and distant fading dream
Shame, our disgrace a withering thought
Though finally our names will be redeemed!

Became one of my all time favorites after belting this out with my brother during the Mile High Miracle drive, which was oddly fitting.

"Some people see a mouse trap, I see free cheese and a fucking challenge"

Scroobius Pip is easily my favourite rapper along with the Hilltop Hoods. Witty fellow eh?

From Eminem's "Stan":

My tea's gone cold
I'm wondering why
I got out of bed at all
The morning rain clouds up my window
and I can't see at all
Even if I could it would all be grey
But your picture on my wall
It reminds me that it's not so bad.

Well I don't know about lyrics but I'm fond of the quote that shows up the start of the "Screaming Eagles" music video.

"To the German Commander.

NUTS!

The American Commander"

Fuck buying flowers for graves
I'd rather buy you a one way non-stop
To anywhere, find anyone, do anything
Forget and start again, love

AHHHHH-AAAHHHAAHHH-AHH
AHHHHH-AAAHHHAAHHH-AHH

The Immigrant Song - Led Zepplin

Also;

Holy Diver
You've been down too long in the midnight sea
Oh what's becoming of me?

Ride the tiger
You can see his stripes but you know he's clean
Oh don't you see what I mean?

Holy Diver - Dio

Seriously these songs are stuck in my head everyday.

That's actually from Dido's 'Thank You'. Sorry if you already knew that.

"After calming me down with some orange slices and some fetal spooning, E.T. revealed to me his singular purpose.
He said, "You are the Chosen One, the One who will deliver the message. A message of hope for those who choose to hear it and a warning for those who do not."
Me. The Chosen One?
They chose me!!!
And I didn't even graduate from fuckin' high school."

From Tool's Rosetta Stoned. Songs a parody of psychedelic enlightenment, L Ron Hubbard, self worth. Groovy.

First thing that came to mind...

Let me go
Let me go
Let me seek the answers that I need to know
Let me find a way
Let me walk away
Through the Undertow
Please let me go

Let me fly
Let me fly
Let me rise against that blood-red velvet sky
Let me chase it all
Break my wings and fall
Probably survive
So let me fly
Let me fly...

Let me run
Let me run
Let me ride the crest of chance into the sun
You were always there
But you may lose me here
Now love me if you dare
And let me run

I'm alive and I am true to my heart now - I am I,
but why must truth always make me die?

Let me break!
Let me bleed!
Let me tear myself apart I need to breathe!
Let me lose my way!
Let me walk astray!
Maybe to proceed...
Just let me bleed!

Let me drain!
Let me die!
Let me break the things I love I need to cry!
Let me burn it all!
Let me take my fall!
Through the cleansing fire!
Now let me die!
Let me die...

Let me out
Let me fade into that pitch-black velvet night

The first line From "My Kind of Loser" by Dutch Pink:

John went to see a man about a dog
And he came back with a wife and three kids.
He keeps asking me to explain just how that happens

Also, from "Youngblood" by Audrey Horne:

He's cool and pretty old-school
He learned to read between the lines
And he carved the things he's seen into his skin

They say he's been around forever,
I'm pretty sure he taught the Devil to steal
Somewhere down the line they cut a deal
