I was wondering if anyone here on the Escapist has ever had a game they liked or even loved that was minor to the point that you found it in an extreme clearance bin, and were unable to find it anywhere else (besides Steam, that sort of thwarts the purpose of the entire thread right there).

My personal favorite would have to be Ghost Master, a sort of RTS that in picked up in a decaying toy store in a strip mall when I was younger. It had a fraction of a story, practically no characters, and remains, in my opinion, one of the funnest games I have ever played. There's not much better than scaring the crap out of Sims. If you want to try it, it's up on Steam now (with a bonus level that I never got to play >.>) for 1.69 USD.

I only ever played gravendale chronicles on the ps2, but I agree, ghost master is ridiculously funny, especially if you happen to hate (living) people.

I found earth defence force 2017 for under ten pounds, does that count? I don't really care, it's amazing anyway. Still haven't got a single achievement yet, damn that game is long.

Dark Sector is waaaay too good to be priced $2.99.
It definitely was! I only wish I had gotten to it sooner, seeing as when I started up what looked to be a fun multiplayer, I was one of the three people in any of the lobbies.

Wow, I normally don't write down captchas, but...

arcedit... I am sooooo sorry.

Although I haven't played much of it yet, Deus Ex for $1.

I got it from Windows Live when they had a massive sale. What I've played so far, it was worth the hour or two trying to figure out what was causing the massive memory leak in Microsoft's downloader and find a fix for the issue.

Let the reinstalling begin!

Sneak King, one of the Burger King games they made awhile back. It isn't great but the random creepiness of hiding and jumping out at people is hilarious and the game play is pretty bare bones but still solid. .99 USD

Primal- A PS2 era game about a girl who can transform into different demons 3 USD

Just got Borderlands for the PC for £1.49 in my local Barnardos (charity shop). Felt rather chuffed, especially since it was one of those "meh, might play it when the price comes down, not sure if I'll like it" numbers.

Then I felt a bit guilty. You know, for the children.

Then I remmebered that in my pile of stuff to take to said charity shop, there's a blu ray copy of Dark Knight, and didn't feel so bad.

Addendum - not only that, but a week ago I got Serious Sam for £1 in another charity shop. Then went into the one next door, and got Serious Sam 2 for £1.50!

I love my very deprived, yet oddly generous corner of Glasgow...
