Stairway to Heaven. It's transcendental.

My next favourite is No Quarter, but I am totally biased on that. One of my favourite bands, Tool, did a cover of No Quarter that I like, which gives the song an extra dimension for me.
No Quarter for me, for much of the same reason.

Gallows Pole, mandolin and old English folks songs at their best.

Next to that come Babe I'm Gonna Leave You and When the Levee Breaks, gotta love those heavy blues.

Stairway to Heaven what? Forget that noise.
THANK YOU! I was almost about to explode on a rant about that. Stairway to most over-rated song in the history of music?

Since I'm here. The Battle of Evermore.

Unsurprisingly, iTunes says Stairway is the most popular, but for a personal favourite? Kashmir. 8 and a half minutes of general loveliness.

Over played and over popular maybe, but over rated? Never! It's one of the very rare cases of things that actually deserve every bit of praise they get.
