Zaku Mark 2 from the UC gundam timeline.Pure Menace and intimidation.Its ugly and brutal and looks exactly like what it is a instrument of warfare.And that single glowing cyclopean eye.This is the mech from your nightmares.



VF-1D Valkyrie from Robotech (don't correct me).The dream mech as much, sleek and graceful but powerful, with more moves then dancer and more punch then a brawler. I Absolutley love these things.The ability to switch between mech, jet fighter and hybrid.is just the cherry on top.

Pretty much any mech from Bokurano. Those were all very bad ass.

They had such geometric designs... Very nifty.

i'd have to go with all of the evangelion units, as well as the gunmen designs from gurren lagann. gainax makes awesome mechs

Space Marine Terminator Armour. Compared to most mechs, extremely portable =D

The Shin Musha Gundam Mk I. It's a giant robot that's also a samurai. The only way to make it more awesome is if it was piloted by a samurai. No, a human sized robot samurai. Robot-samurai-ception! (Damn, why does nearly nothing fit in an Inception joke well?)

Also, the Magitek Armor as seen in the pre-menu cutscene for FFVI (PS1 Anthology version) as well as on the box art is pretty sweet. The in-game versions, not so much. Wicked looking mouth-front beats little claw arms any day.

Heh, I fucking loved my MadCat. I liked the MadCat more than any other Mech, even the Mjollnir or Ragnarok. The firepower and weapons were just so awesome! The only thing I didn't like about it, was how spamming missiles would overheat you stupidly fast =/ but oh wellz.

OP: My favorite mech design would be the mech setup from Escaflowne, they seem to have the best dexterity, and they seem the most mechanically feasible.

Alteisen and its variations from super robot wars/taisen. i like srw's mechs, but Alt is my favorite.

heavily armored, high damage, faster/more mobile than you'd think, and it really just looks awesome. plus i consider its weaponry actually feasible if technology ever advanced enough for mechs to be produced.
