I was playing Left 4 Dead in versus mode, on the infected side. I was a hunter and just as soon as one of the survivors came close to the safe room, I pounced on her and killed her, and proceeded to do the same to another survivor. Won the match for my team ^-^.

Also, another good feeling is in CS:S when you ace the other team. :)

Getting an Australian game of TDM in CoD4. Having green ping gives a Kill Death Ration of 5. Sometimes 6. Getting a KDR of 10 isn't too rare.

Man, I rock at that game!

One time playing halo 3 on Team Deathmatch, Valhalla, me and my friend were abandoned by the rest of our team, leaving us 2 vs 5. we thought we were boned, and so did the other team apparently, and they commenced the dicking about that naturally occurs when you have the upper hand.
We were down 10 kills to 30 ish and my friend decided enough was enough. We hopped in a warthog, me driving, him shooting, and managed to get to 25 kills before dying.
Then, we went spare with a shotgun, and managed to get to 36 all.
1 minute left.
My friend insisted he could get the last kill, and who was i to argue, he had been outplaying me the entire match. He ran out of the safety of the building, to be met with a sniper bullet from the cliff.

Damn.

Back in late 2005, I ran Zul'Gurub roughly 15 times to get an item.

Now, some people proudly say they've ran an instance 60 or 70 times with no reward, but I was a guild master and hardcore raider in a DKP oriented guild... So basically I was used to getting gear quickly, provided I put in the work.

Halbred of Smiting didn't drop in 15 runs. The day it finally did I wasn't doing a guild run and only outrolled a warrior by 3. I was over the moon, and used my halbred in PvP over my Ashkandi.
If you said that to a girl. her head would explode from the confusion.

One Word: Synergy. The Mod for Half Life 2 that allows to play the campaign cooperatively.

So many great, game breaking moments.

Like when four people run furiously towards a Metrocop, bashing the poor guy to death with a barrage of crowbar swings.

Or when the Watercraft Levels turn into the HL2 Version of Mario Kart.

Or trying to kill your teammates with the traps in Ravenholm.

Or the sheer craziness when everyone gets the GravGun for the first Time.

Really, it's too much to count them all.

When I went a whole day without the PSN having an issue with something. Or when the LBP servers didn't make me want to kill myself.

But if you're asking about when I was playing?

I suppose it was when i had just got into online gaming. I was playing Day Of Defeat. And i was wet behind the ears. In the third game or so, I killed a guy who was leading the game by a mile. Shot him with an awful gun, and then killed 3 others before kicking the bucket myself.

The best bit was when the guy I mentioned spoke over the mic and told me "nice shot mate". At the time I felt like it was a rite of passage..

I now know it was not.

I'm not a big online gamer but my best moment was probably in COD2. There was a notorious sniping position on the second floor of this partially destroyed house. I saw a guy was sniping people there so I quietly crawled into the house without him noticing me and went up the stairs. I stayed in a dark spot for about 5 minutes patiently watching him snipe people... then I shot him to pieces and actually made the guy scream "FUUUUCK :O" haha.

Well, jokingly, it's the time in Counter Strike: Source when a person said, "Jackal, try and cover me and distract them while I get to the bomb." (It really happened. I mean, my CS experience never involved retarded kids, but it had also never involved real strategy like that.)

Realistically, though, it would be the time in COD1 that I was playing and I was using my standard no-scope rifle for sniping, and someone on the server asked, "Are you hacking or are you just that good with the rifle?" I replied, "Hackers are retarded, real glory only comes from skill." He was like, "Damn, man, that's awesome." I was like, (in my head) "damn I'm cool."

A multiplayer game of Halo 3 in which everyone dropped out but me and a guy who was way, way better than me. I wrote about it here: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.62334

Also: today I was talking to a friend over the DS wifi voice chat, which I didn't know you could do. It was pretty good except every now and then his voice dropped out for a few words. He mentioned that a new Pokemon game was coming out, Pokemon Platinum, and I asked if it was a proper sequel or a rehash of Diamond and Pearl. His response, as I heard it, was:
"It's basically the same as the last games but with... ... ... ... ... ... jackets."

Counter-Strike once more here.

Stormed the Terrorists solo on De_Dust with a TMP and ping 600 and killed all six. Probably teleported all over the place or something. But dang that was nice. (I hate playing CT and all my usual servers were loaded with T's, I'm an AK47 specialist.)

edit:
Oh this was during the modem days, so the average ping in the server was 150 or so.

Lineage 2 - Taking over a castle with your entire clan, clan wars, PKing farmers and bot groups and slaughtering raid bosses. One time, I killed over 50 lower level players who kept accidently stepping into the seige zone near Dion, I received so much abuse that day!

Natural Selection - Whenever you side with the aliens and make it to the Onos evolution, you can eat the humans and they sit in your belly till their health depletes. Everyone hates getting eaten in that game and all you can do is wait there till you die, I get so much satisfaction from eating other players!

Generals (Zero Hour) - In one game I whiped out a whole Infantry China base with one flame tank. Serious, I just did the wave of flames and all his infantry, vehicles and structures fell into the blaze. I bet the guy shat himself!

Battlefield - On Wake Island I swooped 36 people with a Zero, and at the end of the match I flew directly into an enemy tank and killed us both. Yes, I am proud of myself!

World of Warcraft - In one PvP match with a warrior ally, I dodged every single attack he dished out and owned him with full life. We were both level 60 at the time and I was a rouge with a crap load of luck!

I was playing Left 4 Dead on versus. No Mercy part 4. The survivors were waiting for the elevator, they all go in it, and by sheer luck I tugged out one as the doors closed. That was awesome!

playing on No Mercy Versus on L4D.

I was a smoker, and in the previous round I had managed to be the sole survivor with about 50%

There were two survivors left, one with about 75% health, the other on fumes (red lines) as they ran into the safehouse (the pawnshop). They killed the other three people on my team, but one of the shots managed to set off the car alarm summoning a horde down. They ran into the saferoom (the guy with lower health ran in first) and just before his teammate made it in, I grabbed him my tongue and dragged him off down the corridor. Of course, his team mate ran out to help him, only to get mowed down by the oncoming Horde. He was swamped and died before he managed to kill me, all the while whilst I strangled his mate. It was beautiful *wipes tear from his eye*

Winning a team deathmatch game on COD4; our team had 700 (out of 750), their team had 740. Suddenly the game ended, as I was expecting. But after staring at the screen for a few seconds I realised we had won. Apparently our team managed to get the last 5 kills almost simultaneously.

Also on COD4, the fact that I got my longest kill streak ever (16) in the third online game I ever played.
