So I recently watched The Fly, and seeing as how brundle fly is perhaps one of the most interesting movies monsters I can think of, seeing as how the scary thing about him is that he went from being Jeff Goldblum to well... look it up. So I was wondering if you guys had any movie/videogame/whatever monster.

Godzilla is the king of the monsters. easily my favorite. He might just be a man in a rubber suit, but I grew up with my imagination captivated by that giant fire breathing lizard. To this Day I love things where the hero and the villain take a lot of hits. Godzilla remains a standard for what I like, even the older stuff I still find enjoyable. Some like monsters for being scary, I like Godzilla for being a "monster". More akin to a force of nature, than something you can reason with. And I enjoy Godzilla the most when he is like a force of nature. Godzilla can send a powerful message when you think about it. But I understand Godzilla isn't for everyone, but none the less Godzilla is the king for me. In video games or movies he's my favorite monster.

I know this is cliché but I'm going to go with Cthulhu here. Or actually all of the old gods on the Lovecraft mythos, Cthulhu is a tool compared to some of them.

This is more of a group than a single monster, but the skeletons from Jason and the Argonauts. I think it's the jerky, stop motion that makes them so creepy, it's exactly how I'd imagine a skeleton would move and the way that they just keep coming *shudders* they're kind of like prototype Terminators. Brundlefly is awesome too.

Nostalgia... always nostalgia, so I'm going with Medusa the Gorgon from the ONLY Clash of the Titans. Harryhausen really pulled it off with that. Watched it as a six year old, couldn't sleep well for months afterwards.

(Now I get why my sisters were really on edge after watching Alien when they were five.)

Demons count, right? Even nice demons?
