yeah I notice that as well. I saw the MK wiki fans have also mention that as well.

But he doesn't look like that anymore in the MK game.

When I first started playing Mortal Kombat games I almost always went with Sub-Zero, I just loved his freeze move. But once I got used to stringing together combos, and the move lists changed more between each character I started to use Scorpion a lot more.
Now, for the last three MK games or so (not including MK vs. DC) Scorpion has been my favorite. In Armageddon I was able to dominate just about every opponent I came across with his combos.

Favorite MK character? Original-flavor Subzero. Just the concept of the 'freeze your opponents' idea was hella-cool to me. And while you have his little brother, Sub-Number-Two isn't half the die-hard assassin Sub-Number-One is. Plus, about all the ninjas-types looking the same in this game? Man, Scorpion and Subzero (and probably Smoke) are the only ones with proper history. The rest...why are they in those outfits? Nobody from Outworld is part of or associated with Subzero's order.

As for made up one? See, I actually did that once when I borrowed one of the games with a character creation bit. To which, I have an ice dragon in humanoid form (Zeig Pharaoh, by name) who walks through the chaos on a mission which...actually has little to do with Mortal Kombat. The idea was that sometimes, people just get dragged into these things and MK never addresses that possibility.

I would say Ermac, but I have this soft-spot for Kabal. His hookswords are just awesome, and I love that his attacks don't seem very serious, and the fact that he's fast.

Not only is he a badass with ice weapons, but the was the single best character in MK vs. DC universe

EDIT: As a side note, screw Noob Saibot. He is an annoying bastard ghost A-hole and I hate him. He can suck my ice blasts.
