Oooooooh man. I have a picture of my brother with one and this stupidest smile. There is a time and a place, and though I want to, this is not it. It is my leverage against him, and so I shall wait for a more opportune moment.

Is "tinfoil fedora" an already existing slang word? Like, for someone who believes in absurd conspiracy theories about feminists? I feel like this should be a term.

My brother in law is one of them.
Not just the feminist though. Like any good conspiracy therorist he believes in almost all of them.

I shall start using this term now.
Thank you, good Sir.

Toss in another mention for the Conspiracy Fedora, I know two or three people in my extended family who fit the bill. Being French Canadian, I kind of say "le" unironically by default; it's part of my native language. Does that make me a Linguistics Fedora?

Can't use it here, of course, it would be seen as antagonistic, but that's some good stuff.

One of my friends is moving dangerously close to this territory. I would never call him this though since it would TRIGGER a half hour rant about the infiltration of the system.

This is a term that needs to get more traction though.

Did someone say

I must not hang around in the right circles, I know absolutely nobody that wears any kind of hat - this is a Milliner-free zone!

Check out my OkCupid profile!

Who the hell considers "Dragonforce" to be intellectual?!

Anyway, God bless OKCupid (even though I'm sure the majority of them are fake) but this one is my favorite Fedora picture:

This dude trying to look like John Dillinger standing next to a shelf of My Little Pony never gets old.

Why single out Dragonforce? They may even be more in place on that list than the other two.

Anyways, if this thread is bait for this image:

Then I'll gladly take it.

I specifically chose Dragonforce because they are a power metal band everyone and their grandmother knows about, and the stereotypical fedora-wearer prides themselves on not being into "dumb mainstream music" because "it's fake and simple and is about nothing but bitches and money".

I have nothing against Dragonforce but they do seem to be a recurring band of choice with the fedora stereotype.

I think this one hurts the most because technically hes doing it right. His clothing is spot on and actually matches the hat. But why the toy store! Go somewhere fancy! Save that outfit to wear somewhere where dressing up would be required.

If you ask me the colours don't really fit his complexion. Makes him look even more pasty. I'm also not sure how well that coat fits him, especially in the shoulders. Not sure if that's the right choice for his build.

It's also like seeing a kid trying on dad's clothes, and not just because he stands next to shelves filled with plastic ponies. Outfits like that require a certain...ripening. You can just see that he doesn't belong in them.

Well, I'm pleased you fellas liked the slang I (apparently) coined. I actually thought it up while browsing the YouTube comments on a Tomb Raider video. One of the users was claiming that feminism is a communist conspiracy intended to bring down the Western world. And he wasn't trolling either. Since the dude was an obvious conspiracy theory wack-job but also a misogynist, the phrase "I think your tinfoil fedora is on too tight" came to mind.

I'm never touching my brimmed hats again. It doesn't matter if they're fedoras or trilbies. There is no way I'm going to make myself look like one of these stereotypes anymore. I honestly look like Vidya Fedora from OP. Nope, it's all baseball caps with hoodies from here on out, and all I can do is pray no one sees my cheek slabs and door knob chin.

Introspection is apparently not very common practice for you.

For the record (since one apparently has to qualify their opinions with a fucking disclaimer), I'm don't have a neckbeard or a fedora. I'm gay and I've seen enough discrimination and hate to recognize it even when it's *Gasp* not directed at myself.

I can be introspective, I just choose not to do it when someone intentionally comes into a thread they don't like and tries to take a high ground ;)

Ok? I find neckbeards funny. Not hating or discriminating so not quite sure why you brought up the fact you're gay. I'm LGBTQIA supportive so yeah :3
