Recently, I've begun listening to more diverse song genres than I ever have before. I've started to listen to Protest the Hero (especially stuff from Fortress and Kezia) and As I Lay Dying (just stuff from Ocean Between Us), and they just appeal to me.
Granted, I've always been a sucker for a nice "guitar" song, but their vocals speak to me as well. Heh, no pun intended. But I've also begun listening to old Beastie Boys material (partially for laughs), the Arrogant Worms (definitely for laughs), yet I also like blues/ croony stuff that my dad will occasionally listen to when I'm in the car with him.

So I ask you, have you recently begun to listen to any particular band, song, or type of music in general? And who turned you onto it, etc.

I think the most recent new song I heard that I really liked was "Dead Lazers" by Kap Bambino. They were a featured artist on MySpace one time.

I don't like most new music. Pretty much the only new band I like is Editors. They have a really good alternative rock/post punk sound that isn't really like anything else out there at the moment. Which, for me, is a definite plus, because my problem with most new bands is that they all sound so similar that I can't distinguish between them.

I hate most new music, it just isn't my thing...though I do enjoy an occasional nostalgia fit when I listen to things like Numa Numa and The Bad Touch.

I've got back into Marilyn Manson after I found his Greatest Hits CD behind the sofa.
Please dear god! Tell a friend or family member. An intervention must be launched!

ok, fine. I'll hold off on the intervention at this point, but if you start having urges to wear black eye-liner and write a poem entitled "My empty soul" Call me!

On topic - crazy crazy techno. I'm too old for glow lights (goddammit) but still, THIS

is the craziest song I have heard in ages. No it is not Rick.

Fair warning, it is CRAZY techno, so prepare yourselves. On an off note, if anyone else likes this kind of crap and would like to share a few links with me in a message I would greatly appreciate it.

Recently been re-dicovering Soundgarden, especially Badmotorfinger. Most music I buy, listen to a lot for a few days, then every 3 or 4 days for a few weeks, then not really again for ages because it loses its awesome. But then after a couple of years (literally) when you discover it all over again it's amazing!

I don't think anything could make me do that. I just like his music.

Oh and that thing you linked. It's good stuff.
