Calvin & Hobbes is my all-time favorite. For comics that are still published in my local newspaper - Blondie, Snuffy Smith, Dilbert, Pearls Before Swine, Zits, Pickles.

Then there are the ones I hate - foremost is Close to Home. I absolutely hate the artwork, the jokes are stupid most of the time, and it doesn't hold a candle to The Far Side (which it replaced in my paper, at least). And I also hate those drama comics like Mark Trail and The Phantom.

Count Curly Wee. I have no freaking clue what that pig ever does. But it does add a nice touch of surrealism to my day. Actually...it's rather like one of those old strips from the 20s or 30s....only bearing, or at least appearing to bear no relevance to today, almost to appear non-sequiturious. Interesting thing too. Wikipedia doesn't have an article on it it's so obscure, yet I see it all the time in various newspapers.

Far Side and Calvin & Hobbes were pretty good; but they're gone now.

Get Fuzzy is pretty great. It's the only normal paper strip I can think of where a central character flipped off Judge Judy. Foxtrot is pretty funny too.

That would probably be because the Calvin and Hobbes series ended 14 years ago.

I think Bizarro can be very funny sometimes.

It's hard to think of my favorite comic strip.

Most hated comic strip, though, is easy.
Family Circus wins by a mile.

Get Fuzzy and Dilbert. I haven't really paid them much mind lately though.

Damn you, internet comics!

Calvin and Hobbes is pure, homogenized, unadulterated awesomeness. I doubt I will live to see any comic surpass it.

Dilbert is pretty good. Its pretty meh most of the time, but there are some real jewels every now and then.
