The Longest Journey was fantastic. That, and I loved the first two games in the Legend of Kyrandia series.

Nobody barfs
Much on the wharfs
But rub-a-dub-dub
And most lose their grub
Heave! Heave!
Ho! Ho!
Over the rail your biscuits go

Quoted from memory over ten years ago. :)

Closest thing the world has to a Monty Python video game.
The Parrot is voiced by Terry Jones and the Bomb by John "Kim Bread" Cleese.

What PQ series are you talking about, because I believe at least 1 thru 3 were all on floppy and you had to enter the text? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it was 4-6(7) that were PnC...

Anywho, did anyone play Mad Dog McCree, or am I the only one?

My answer is and always will be "Day of the Tentacle". Even though the title makes it sound like a Japanese fetish porn film.

Monkey Island 2, because it's the best

Indiana Jones 4 (Curse of Atlantis or something like that) because it's the first I've ever played.

Wow so many to choose from. For me The Monkey Island series, Broken Sword series, Sam and Max, the first Two Simon the Sorceror games and Discworld Noir all stand out.

I just got Sam and Max and even though I have a feeling that I'm too good at it (I think I've already got Episode 1 nailed down), I enjoy the comedy of it more than the actual gameplay. I'd enjoy the gameplay if you could change the damn mouse sensitivity...

Ah you're playing the later games, which are good and quite enjoyable, but in my opinion at least, aren't a patch on Sam and Max: Hit The Road. Tis an old game now though, think it was released in 1995, but if you get the chance to play the original then go for it. Funnier and much more challenging puzzle wise. The Episodic games, while funny, were very straight forward I found.

The thing is, I actually find the Strong Bad games they made more challenging puzzle wise >__> And I know I should probably have started with the originals, but meh, I'll get to them.

P.S. Mad Dog McCree was way better in the arcades..used to play that till i was broke. Huge screen all live action pure awesomeness. Also there was another old west game off topic a little bit where you played this little comical gunslinger but the whole game was done in this hologram dome thing. there were fires and some guy with a chainsaw even if i remember right. some lame skull effect when you died... anyone know what i'm talking about? HAHA nvm found it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fGFiOo7urA

OH MY GOD, I totally remember that game! That game was so fun. I used to just pump quarters into that game, and yet, I never got anywhere.

I highly recommend the original MYST, yeah it takes forever but the atmosphere and story become real very fast. And it doesn't insult your intelligence with hints or tutorials.

Very much this. Haven't seen or played them for years, think I might seek them out just for giggles.

I quite liked Discworld 2 back in the day but, having played it recently, it's a shame to find it hasn't aged well.
