...the first Two Simon the Sorceror games...
Very much this. Haven't seen or played them for years, think I might seek them out just for giggles.

I quite liked Discworld 2 back in the day but, having played it recently, it's a shame to find it hasn't aged well.
If you're in the UK (and surely you must be if you're a fan of good old Simon), then I remember Gamestation used to sell the two for about a fiver a pop.

I hear there's a new one coming soon, developed by a German company. Will have to see if it matches the very British humour of the originals.

Only one I ever played was Kings Quest, I forget which one but I think it was 5.

I really enjoyed 7 Days a Stranger. Too bad it's the only point and click game I've played.
I've played a few, but that one by Yahtzee is my favourite as well. It still freaks me out and yet I played it ages ago.

To all those who sid Grim Fandango it is an awesome game and in most ways is exactly the same formula as any other "point and click" but i did not see my self doing much pointing and/or clicking in that game.

I loved Spy Fox. It was a great game that i spent countless hours on.

ZORK The Grand Inquisiter. Great game, funny as hell.
Not really a point and click, but yes it was a great game. I would say that my favorite was Myst, being the classic that it is.

I liked the kings quest games, so much in fact that I bought the anthology pack a couple months ago so I could play the other four games that I never played, they were pretty fun except Kings quest 4 I hate that game for it's stupid password protection, I've also plaed the first two Monkey Islands games, they were pretty funny.

I guess Gigolo Assassin...
I'm not particularly acquainted with point-and-clicks, at least to a vast extent. I've dealt with enough to get a feel for the genre, though. There was this one point-and-click that I really liked, but I forgot its title. I played it several years ago, and it was really cool. I hate that I can't remember it.

The entirety of the LucasArts Catalog. The Old Sierra games are good but they are not to the level of perfection that LA eventually achieved. I think the Myst games are only popular among non adventure aficionados, because once you've played a lot of the classics you'll see just how little Myst has to offer.(Not that Myst is horrible by any means; I liked it when I first played it and they music world is a personal favorite of mine.) The New Sam and Max's are great if only because they're a point and click and point and clickless world. They're not by any means the LA classics that preceded them but some of that charm is there. It's time for the P&C to make a comeback.

If I had to pick one I'd say Grim Fandango.
