VtM: Bloodlines - Great game after much patching. Deus Ex-esque, equal to the original and significantly better than the utter abortion that was Invisible War. The end is slightly disappointing but the early and especially middle sections are amazing.

Baldur's Gate 2 - The best 'classic western RPG' out there. Good plot, dialogue and pacing, although I hated the Underdark bit.

In No Order:

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind(Screw you Oblivion, overrated Shit, but i have hopes for Skyrim, it ultimately looks great)
Dragon Age Origins (not 2)
Fallout 3 (NV was nothing else than a Glorified Expansion Pack)
The Witcher 2: Asssassins of Kings (i really liked the first one, but i liked this one MUCH Better)
Mass Effect 1 (ME2 is not really what i would Call an RPG)
Demon's Souls (Hopefully Dark Souls will replace it)
Diablo I and II (Cannot wait for III)

Baldur's Gate 1 and 2
Knights of the Old Republic (Best Twist Ever)
Might & Magic I through IV (V was good not AS good, VI and VII were OK, VIII and IX were a PoS)
PlanEscape Torment (i thought it was my favorite for a time, until i realized that i didn't wanted to have a favorite)
Final Fantasy VI (the ONLY one i actually like)
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines
Fallout 1 & 2

I separated this last few becuase they Have not aged Well, it's very hard to return to them, but i still remember them fondly.

Of all time?
I guess I never really got into rpgs too much until Phantasy Star 1 and I loved all those games; okay, the third wasn?t that great but 2 & 4 are still all time favorites.
And I?ve liked others since then (like the D&D games on the pc) but I never really got into any of them as much as Phantasy Star until Fallout 3.

Okay guys, what are some of your all time favorite RPGs you've ever played. I know you guys have to have more than one sooo yeah. For me it would probably be along the lines of:

-Chrono Trigger(Great story, characters, music, and gameplay)

-Persona 3 + 4(Good story? Check. Good characters? Check? Good music? Check? Fun battle system? Yup

-The World Ends With You(Amazing character development, story interesting, music is uh...interesting and good, battle system PAD and stylus at the same time? Ayup)

-Final Fantasy 6(Notice how story and character development brings me in? Yeah this one has it too. Music by Nobuo Uematsu ahh how I love him. Oh yeah it's FF sooo usually a good battle system)

Dragon Quest 5(STORY,MUSIC,FUN FUN FUN)

and Golden Sun 1 + 2(Dude I still play battle music from this when I wanna feel epic)

(I think I've got a few others but these are most prominent in my mind).
Top 4 I agree 100%.

City of Heroes/Villains. Hands down THE best RP experiences in a game that didn't include a copious amount of books, Ral Partha figures, and Mountain Dew. The character creation (costumewise) is second-to-none when it comes to an RPG, and if you can find the right people the stories can be amazing.
I will say I truly enjoyed the time I spent with the SG I played with :)
