Dedede. He's high-tier for a reason.
Not that I actually give a damn about tiers. I love Dedede for his playstyle, tend to do well with him.

Well, in original it was Link, then when Melee came around I was epic with young link, damn I had his moves and style down to a science. Then finally Brawl came out and unfortuantly they changed young link to Toon Link, very sad day. So, then I started using Ike and became pretty damn awesome with him. So, in a nutshell
SSB: Link
SSBMe: Young Link
SSBB: Ike
SSB: Link
SSBMe: Young Link

Melee: Shiek/Marth, I have a thing for quick characters
Brawl: Wolf, because he's badass and has an awesome A attack, Zero-suit Samus because she's nice and quick, Shiek again because... I just can't not have someone from LOZ, and also... she looks bitchin'. And I guess last would be Pit, that shield... works.

But my favourite move has to be PK Drill (what I dubbed PK Thunder on yourself). Using it at the start of a battle to get a quick 30%, and then jumping off the edge and recovering by drilling your opponents into the ground - Lucas is the best! The only reason he's lower tier is because no one knows how to use him.
In SSB I just sat in the middle of the map spamming Pikachu's Thunderbolt attack.
Never really played SSBM so basically just did the same thing.
SSBB however, I jumped between a few:
Kirby (for obvious reasons)
Marth (for that kick-ass final smash)
Zero-Suit Samus (awesome for jumping around and annoying the hell out of your friends)

I can't pick between Ness or Lucas. I have very fond memories playing Earthbound when I was young, it was basically the pinnacle of my childhood (yeah I know, my childhood wasn't exactly spectacular). However, Lucas's game, Mother 3, is also great and Lucas is maybe even more fun to play than Ness. Meh, I'll go for Ness, Lucas might be slightly more fun to play, but Ness is still my more favorite character, because of all the glorious nostalgia.
