Favorite Sonic The Hedgehog character?

Now my favorite.

E-102 from Sonic Adventure

[spoiler/]He was a robot created by Dr.Eggman (or Robotnick). He is forced to kill his brother to show Eggman he is strongest. Then, he decides to let Amy Rose escape, and learns about the horrible fate of his brother. He then decides that he must kill all of his brothers for good. At the end, he has one final battle with a new version of his first brother, and then sacrifices himself.[/spoiler]

I'll be honest, I don't really care too much one way or the other about any of the Sonic characters. People always complain about how they're always adding new characters that no one cares about. But that doesn't bother me, because I didn't care about any of them to start with. For me, if the gameplay in a Sonic game is entertaining then that's all I care about. The whole cast could be hurled off a cliff and replaced with shit that a two year old drew and it really wouldn't make the slightest bit of difference to me as long as it still played fun.

This became a series debate at work about a week ago. We all agreed that while they all suck. Every last one of them (Personality wise that is). Tails is the best.
Think about it, he can run just as fast as Sonic and he can FLY!

Not really a fan of the sonic series, I've always thought the character shadow was pretty cool.

Only the ones that were on the Genesis games. The series today is too crowded with unnecessary characters who add nothing and have no appeal.

My favorite is probably Sonic (duh) or Robotnic because he was a badass on the cartoon (the cool one, not the 'pingas' one). And yes, Japan, his name is Robotnic, not Eggman. Anyone who says otherwise is stupid.
