Doctor Who. On top of not 'getting' the show, they mocked my mourning for David Tennant. Bastards.

Sci-fi's new show, Alphas. I tell people it's like a mix of X-Men and NCIS. I think I lose them at "X-Men".

Some people don't get Curb your enthusiasm, but I think it's genius and there's just an adjustory [1] period where a new viewer needs to get used to the humour and they should then learn to appreciate it. The same is kind of true with Arrested development

[1] I realise adjustory is not an actual word!

Anyway, some classic larry for you guys:

House and Lie To Me, I've only ever convinced one person to watch them, never mind like them. Luckily, he liked both so I could talk to him about both of them. Shame Lie To Me was cancelled.

House had like 6 years being the most watched TV show in the world. It's still one of the biggest shows on air, you're certainly now alone with that one.

Shame about Lie to me though. I don't even think anything beyond season 3 was shown in the UK.
Yeah, I know about House being huge pretty much everywhere, but it just doesn't seem that House has ever grabbed any of my friends attention. Then again some of the people I know watch the likes of X Factor, Jersey Shore and The Only Was Is Essex with an almost fanatical desire.

A lot of my friends don't understand my penchant for watching shitty movies with a bunch of robot puppets than never shut the fuck up. And I'm okay with that.

An obvious answer would be MLP. Not very original though, so lets go with Psych. No one I know seems to find it as funny or interesting as I do. :(
i love psych! i do however feel like the quality of the humor was down last season, this season has been alright so far though
Really? Dual Spires was my favorite episode of the entire series. That might be because it's just one big homage to Twin Peaks, though.

Carnivale. Good acting, awesome original concept, to my mind one of the half a dozen best shows ever made.
Axed after 2 seasons.
Now that I come to think of it:
Carnivale
Lie to me
Firefly
Dollhouse

I seem to have a knack for loving showes that are doomed to be cancelled. Maybe its a curse?

I watch a lot of shows but my favourites tend to be slow burners, typically HBO ones (The Wire, Boardwalk Empire, Game Of Thrones). My friends don't have the patience for those types of shows and just want 'Shooty action boobies fun time now'.

EDIT: On the plus side I got my dad watching GoT so I guess that's something.

Those are great shows but seriously BWE has a guy getting his head blown off in the first episode, and GOT had a decapitation in like the first 20 minutes.

For me I guess Invader Zim, one of the main reasons I still have Netflix streaming. That and Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

Plenty of people on the internet can comprehend Serial Experiments Lain, but it draws a blank for everyone in real life.
I can relate. Lain is brilliant but get anyone to watch it in real life and it becomes a chore.

Hell, most of my friends think that anime is for kids.

WATCH DEATH NOTE AND THEN I DARE YOU. NO I DOUBLE DARE YOU TO SAY THAT.

A thousand times this! Also, only one or two people I know seem to have any interest in Eureka. Perhaps this has something to do with why NBC decided to cut it short.
