Of all time? Currently on the tube? A little clarification and perhaps something more than a list would probably help this evolve into a real discussion. Especially since this topic's been done before. Lots.

Of all time I would have to go with either Firefly, Alias, or Twin Peaks. It's tough because while Firefly was excellent, it didn't even last a full season. Alias and Twin Peaks both derailed after a few seasons, but the stuff that was good was really good.

Of everything that's on television now, I have to say I'm digging NCIS, Fringe, and How I Met Your Mother. NCIS is a good character drama/procedural, though the mysteries are usually pretty easy to figure out. Fringe is interesting despite being entirely improbable. And HIMYM is hysterical, even if it falls back on some sitcom standbys.

Toss-up between Scrubs and The Office. But since Scrubs ended, the award goes to the Office.

Hmm... For regular primetime shows I'd have to say that I really like House. I just can't stand The Office.

But really I'll just turn to the History channel and watch about 80% of the stuff on there.

Still The Twilight Zone, X-Files are an extremely tight second.

Edit: Oh yes, and Firefly, despite it's short run, is a very close third.

Right now, I'm really into Lie To Me, but I'm waiting for the new Doctor Who episodes.

I don't watch a lot of current stuff, not for any morally uptight reasons like "it is all crap" that some spout but merely because I lack the ability to follow a strict schedule. As such most of my favourite shows are either things I have watched on my own time/reruns, things that have no structured plot, or stuff I have watched for many years.

Many anime, Corner Gas, Clone High, Family Guy and Futurama fall into both the 1st example and a bit of the second.

Mythbusters, 22 Minutes, Colbert and the Daily Show all fall into the 2nd.

And the Simpsons I have loved since I was a little kid and I continue to watch it despite what the rest of the world has to say on the matter. I'll admit I don't watch a lot of the newer episodes when they are new, but this is due to my inability to follow a schedule. There is a website in which I can catch up on them though so it isn't a big deal. Most of the treasured memories of the show I have on dvd sets anyway.

However, this turns into more of a "This is what I watch" rather than a favourites list mostly because I can't really pick a favourite.
