"Bonus Package" grenades from Borderlands 2. The grenade is a MIRV, which means it bursts into a cluster of smaller grenades, but with the Bonus Package, those smaller grenades explode into more small grenades as well. Good times.

Crissaegrim from Symphony of the Night was a major jaw-dropper the first time I equipped it, as well.

The FatMan nuke launcher from the Fallout series is one of my favorite video game weapons,I mean who does'nt like a portable nuke launcher you can use to blow even the strongest enemies away? The Hidden Blade from The Assassin's Creed series is another favorite because it's so useful.
Ahhhh....I remember when I first got my hands on a FatMan launcher, good times goood times. :D
I remember the mistake of giving it, and nukes, to one of my companions... at least I went out with a bang.
And then I promptly removed the nukes when the previous save reloaded.

OT: Honestly? A really basic assault rifle or pistol does it for me. Or in fantasy games, a bow and arrow.
I am ludicrously boring, I know. I don't even get sauce on my subway sandwhiches.

LandShark gun from Armed and Dangerous. If you aren't one of the 15 people who played Armed and Dangerous, you may have to Google it. It's worth it. In fact, Google a playthrough of the whole damn game. It was great.

Javelin Gun from Dead Space 2

1) Impale an enemy to a wall
2) Electrocute him and his buddies
3) After a few seconds it explodes, killing any nearby zombies

Pretty much every gun from Dead Space 2 and 3 is awesome (except the bolas launcher perhaps).

I had the opportunity to play with a Force Gun + Flamethrower gun on my last playthrough of DeadSpace 3, so absurdly overpowered in just the right way. Knock them down and them burninate them while they try to get back up! I think I was giggling with maniacal laughter throughout the whole game :p

I'd have to say either the M4A1 SOPMOD from CoD4 or the Double Barrel from Doom II.
The SOPMOD just looks so cool, it's a multipurpose stealth weapon, general combat rifle (accurate, too)and has a Press < to win button. The Double Barrel, oh good lord the Double Barrel! It's about as powerful as God ejaculating javelins into your fucking BALLS and it sounds SO damn cool when you reload!
It's even more broken than the Halo 1 pistol for fuck's sake! AND I WOULDN'T HAVE IT ANY OTHER FUCKIN' WAY!!!

Honestly, it's pretty much down to Pew Pew from New Vegas. Efficient and singularly-deadly.

1) R-Type's Ring Laser - beautiful to look at and also BEAST
2) Grayswandir from Nethack - very rarely play lawfuls so I don't get it that often, but damn it rips through Hell
3) Quad-wielded Lt. Col. Kilgore - because only Bayonetta could ever decide that three rocket launchers aren't enough for one woman
4) The triple fast rainbows in Rainbow Islands - it kills stuff and helps you climb!
5) Flak Cannon from the original Unreal Tournament - still one of the most versatile FPS weapons ever

This is going to be SO cliche, but... the classic Katana (or any Eastern Curved Sword) has got to be my favorite video game weapon(s). They are deadly in their sleekness.

Well Gravity and Portal guns are always awesome even in Minecraft.

You can't go wrong with Cerberus and Nevan as they are extrememly fun when mastered. ( I demand a weapon pack for DMC4 Capcom)

I was always fond of Minigun-Launcher from Painkiller.

And there is the Ion cannon in crimsonlands because it is plain broken even in Hardcore mode. Especially in Hardcore mode.

Flak cannon from Unreal tournament, it gets even more ridicuously good in the later UT's with quad jump low grav, so back flipping over someones head and flak cannoning them in the top of the head is still so cool.

Either the portal gun, the flak cannon from unreal or Odette from bayonetta, that was a lot of fun.

The Electrodriver from Painkiller, yeah thats right, the gun that shoots shurikens and lightning!
Heh, I started off loving that one, and now I can't stand it. I think it might have had something to do with the consistent rate at which I managed to run out of ammo... Give me the stakegun grenade launcher any day! Coincidently, one of my favourite weapons across the board. That and a good old fashioned sword. Or crowbar.

Admittedly, my favorite thing to do was use the infinite slow time cheat which affected the gun animations as well, and fire like three of the red balls of death then fire a blast from this and watch as they all went off at once

This thing was just FUN to shoot. I mean a lot of the guns from Turok are a joy to use, but this one has always stood out in my memory easily.
Load it up with some explosive ammo, get in a nice cramped area with a gaggle of enemies and watch it chaotically carve a swatch of entrails and explosions in a matter of seconds.

Although you'd be hard-pressed to find any praise about the new DmC, I think the weapons in that game are really fun to use, and probably the reason I'm still playing it now. Heck, I rarely used Rebellion in my first playthrough because the subweapons are so fun.

Smash enemies into the air with the Arbiter, then lob the axe head at them to knock 'em around even more. Use Osiris for elegant combos both in the air and on the ground, along with the propellor-o-doom attack. Charge up Eryx for massive damage, uppercut them into the air then bounce them between the air and the floor. Aquila is absolutely peerless when it comes to crowd control; stunlock a single enemies, pull all the others close to you, then unleash a tornado for a massive combo.

Of course, part of the reason these weapons are so effective is because the enemies in DmC are mostly complete shmucks who exist solely to be ground beneath your feet. When the elite Dreamrunners show up, I prefer to stick with Rebellion.

Halo's Needler for its sheer effectiveness combined with its uniqueness.

Also, the energy sword from the original Smash Bros. I threw that thing at my enemies like it was my job.
