Favorite Villain?

This has always been a tough question. I really love a good villain. I say my favorite might have to be... Hannibal Lecter.

I can't name just one, so here are my top choices:
SHODAN (System Shock 2) - The triumphant culmination of terrifying villainry. Her voice...HER VOICE
GLaDOS (Portal) - For basically being a hilariously cheerful reimagining of the above character.
The Alien (Alien) - Once upon a time, aliens were made by puppeteers, and not CGI. Yet somehow those puppets were more terrifying than anything computers have been able to produce. Case-in-point? The Alien, an uncomfortably sexualized monster that was one of the most dramatic villains of all time.
Saren (Mass Effect) - He had presence, stealing every scene he was in; he also managed to squeeze a ridiculous amount of depth (and sympathy, for that matter) into his very few lines. Mass Effect 2 was better than its predecessor, but it lacked any villain on the level of Saren.

Also, the Paragon option? Where you convince Saren to shoot himself? That was the most incredible scene in anything ever. Of all time.
Probably Freddy Kreuger. I just wrote a whole damn essay about it elsewhere. But in short: I love that he's just so gleefully evil. He's having fun with it--he's just fucking around with his victims. That's why I love the stupid puns and jokes--this is clearly just one big GAME to him. An EASY game. Jason and Michael had some revenge motives, but after the first installment, Freddy's not out for any specific revenge. He's just doing all this for the sake of enjoying himself.

I also love Randall Flagg, from Stephen King's books, for similar reasons. I've always thought that if there IS a devil, he's not some oogie-boogie horned demon--that he'd be charming, handsome, and disarmingly chummy. Like Flagg. And when he's got your defenses down, he'll destroy you utterly. Or make YOU destroy yourself from within.
That's evil!

Although I must say I did like the character of the Devil, Mr. Nick, in The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnasuss.

Oh, man. I'm sure I could think of a ton if given the time, but I'll just say:
Darth Vader (not counting the prequels)
HAL 9000 (he's probably the only character I really liked in 2001: A Space Odyssey)
Kefka (for a while there, he was succeeding where other FF villains failed; he actually gained god-like powers, even if he still lost against the heroes in the end)
Rubicante (I enjoyed how affably evil he was)

For a real villain, I'd have to say all of Organization XIII from Kingdom Hearts. They had an alright goal, but ultimately they were still malevolent to everything and everyone except each other for the most part.

Ok, less of a villain and more of an adversary, but damnit he's a terrifying one. Plus in his first appearance he was more a manifestation of the true villain, if that makes any sense.

Games: Pig Ganon, he's just so epic, especially due to the cutscene in ocarina when he appears. Amazing.
Anime: Team Rocket, when you see them you better prepare for trouble, and while your at it make it double
Movies: Dr. Alucard, merely because it takes the main character's practically the whole movie to figure out that Alucard is the villain when name is just Dracula spelled backwards. and its not even like they live somewhere where they don't know about Dracula cause once someone notices its Dracula backwards they immediately go to kill him
