Favorite Villain?

I've always thought Emperor Palpatine made a great villian. He generally didn't sully himself when it came to taking out his opposition but when he did, look out man, he's pretty badass.

Although for that villian that you just love to hate, I have to say the leader of the mercenaries from District 9. By the end of the movie I was glad to see him ---!SPOILER ALERT!--- get torn apart by the prawn before he offed Wikus. ---!END SPOILERS!--- They made that character so easy to hate.

Spoiler: Doom would have words with thee

I have a soft spot for Doctor Doom, I mean he both an amazing scientist and master of the dark arts. Wearing power armour infused with magical relics (including a piece of the true cross to deter vampires). The way he flitters between a noble lord and sociopathic killer at a whim. The fact he's so paranoid that he creates "Doombots" stand-ins that are impossibly to tell apart from him (same body temp, simulate a heartbeat and even realise his body odours). Seriously I'm pretty sure we haven't seen the real Doom in years of the comics, just like whenever I see Nick Fury I immediately assume it's a Life Model Decoy until proven wrong.

For books I would have to say Light Yagami, I know he might not be considered a villain but in reality he is. I just LOVE Light Yagami (no homo) he's crazy as hell and I like that...damn you Near
