No backstory to this one. I'll just ask outright:

If you watch cooking channels on Youtube, what's your favorite channel(s) and why?

For me, I have a certain love for cookingwithdog [https://www.youtube.com/user/cookingwithdog]. During my weeaboo-ish phase during my middle school years, I found this channel in late 2008. Even after outgrowing my weeaboo phase, I still come back to this channel because Japanese food is great. I love the narrative, the recipes seem delicious (And the ones I've made confirm that they are) and, of course, the chef and Francis the dog are just adorable.

Another one I like a lot is foodwishes [https://www.youtube.com/user/foodwishes]. I don't even remember how I found this channel, but it did something right because I keep coming back to it. Like cookingwithdog, I love the narrative (Chef John's voice is so soothing. He's like the Morgan Freeman of Youtube cooks.) and the food seems great. The cheesecake recipe he has is divine...

So share your favorite Youtube chefs here!

I have a soft spot for sorted food because they make easy recipes that anyone can make and also because of the absolute bromance going on. I also love Donal Skehan's YouTube channel for pretty much the same reason.

Edit: I forgot to mention "raw, vegan, not gross" While I'm not vegan, the recipes featured there look positively delicious.

If you're anything like me, you found it because your boyfriend decided to search for potatoes on YouTube, and his twice baked stuffed potatoes recipe [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQPLo8hECWg&index=40&list=LLZXJ8m_7ZhkiVzglawgkfxg] was the first thing that came up (which can be modified into an excellent mashed potatoes recipe).

Seeing as that's the only one I watch (because said person that found it is turning into an old man, therefore he loves watching cooking shows), I'd have to go with him. Doesn't hurt that the few I've tried were really good (besides the potatoes, these brownies minus the mint icing [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UyYCdKMJfTk], and cottage fries [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2q4IdyIF__c]).

Joy of Baking with Stephanie Jaworski. She reminds me 100 percent of my mom, except she likes to bake. Everything is just so simple and she's all nice, it's very pleasant.

Epic Mealtime. I won't insult your intelligence by assuming you need an explanation.

I'm a big fan of Laura Vitale, her channel is called "Laura in the Kitchen." She has nearly a thousand videos, and still updates regularly (~ twice a week). She has recipes for all kinds of stuff, big family dinners, party finger food and even milkshakes. I discovered her when I was a beginner cook and her videos really helped me out a lot. But she has a bunch of stuff for advanced chefs too.

Well my favourite joke cooking channel was My Drunk Kitchen, but the lady got so popular so quickly that the channel went 90% advert, cross-promotion or some political shit over night... it's now probably more commercial then a top shop channel.

The only one I look at for recipes is Jamie Oliver, sadly he also has a very strong TV dancing puppet character but he does provide instructions to make quick and simple tasty food. Some of that I make on a regular basis.

Uh I used to watch one called Feast of Fiction, which made recipes from pop culture. Like butterbeer from Harry Potter or sea salt ice cream from Kingdom Hearts. (It's tastier than it sounds.) I don't watch them anymore, but I do still watch Epic Meal Time on occasion. Because, Epic Meal Time.

My favorite is this channel. He's done others, but this one is my favorite.

*edit* Slightly NSFW due to language.

Regular Ordinary Swedish Meal Time is pretty much the best cooking channel on the internet. Completely normal recipes that anyone can cook, and unrelated monday skits with a homicidal fox.

My favorite has got to be Orsara Recipes [https://www.youtube.com/user/OrsaraRecipes]. Funny old Italian guy, been fascinating me ever since Crendor mentioned him on Cox n' Crendor in the Morning

Pretty sure the only cooking channels I'm subscribed to are Nerdy Nummies [https://www.youtube.com/user/RosannaPansino] and Epic Meal Time [https://www.youtube.com/user/EpicMealTime]. Nerdy Nummies is a fun geeky-themed baking show with sometimes guests and yummy looking fun treats, while Epic Meal Time is, well, exactly what it says on the tin.

Here's one video that taught me how to make a delicious cake! I hope it informs others as well c:
