Mine has to be...well at the moment the newest Die Hard. People say they don't like it but I love the retarded action bits. While it might not be my favorite Action movie overall (I like all action movies) it is probably my favourite retarded (story-wise) explosive Action movie.

Haven't seen taken, but I was going to say the original Die Hard.
It set a standard for a lot of the modern genre, and outdoes them still.

Shoot'em up and Sin Ciry by far. I love those two movies. Sin city is artistic and deep, while at the same time being incredibly Violent. Shoot'Em up is just a trigger happy thrill ride, with lots and lots of bodybags filled with henchmen. xD
