As the title says, who's your favourite Anime Villian, for me it would have to be Legato Bluesummers from Trigun, so creepy and twisted in his psychic powers, gives me the creeps but also impresses me at the same time >.<

Well, either Huskeson from the FMA Movie, the Conqueror of Shamballa
But he is only in the film for a few minutes...
Or maybe these guys...
Still trying to think of any other villains that could be considered proper villains...
Without me having to post spoilers...

Frieza. No competition. Pure evil motives, pure evil methods, pure evil through and through.

I like Grimmjow from Bleach. The final fight was epic as shit but super concise compared to DBZ.

Either Il Palazzo from Excel Saga (the manga, that is, I haven't watched the anime) or Seto Kaiba from the otherwise badly written Yu-Gi-Oh!

Not Light Yagami, though; he's a hero and not a villain.

Some I have been impressed with:

-I'm adding a vote for Legato. Awesome job done with him.
-I appreciated the ruthlessness of Crocodile in One Piece. For once he seemed to be an anime villain who didn't pull any punches. I enjoy that in a villain - just go all out for Pete's sake!
-I wish we could have seen more character development out of Vicious in Cowboy Bebop. He was a good villain when he showed up, but could have been great if there was more of him.
-Zechs/Milliardo and Treize from Gundam Wing were intriguing, even if they seemed to end up with more than a few head-scratcher moments throughout the series.
-However, the all-time crown for me has to go to Gendou Ikari in Evangelion.
Developing a plan to wipe out and reboot the human race, playing God with human and even artificial souls, using government money and resources to do it, and getting almost everyone you work with to at least believe in the cause, if they don't think you're a complete hero for doing it. His plan even got the furthest of any anime villain I have ever seen before finally crashing and burning, and that only happens if you watch the movies. He is truly the greatest anime villain I have ever seen.

<---This guy, Char Aznable. Assembles a fleet, starts a rebellion and drops asteroids on Earth just so he can finish his fight with his nemesis, that's badass. Then he gives up the Psychoframe technology so that Amuro's new Gundam can have it and it will be a fair fight.
