Favourite Cutscene?

In all the games you've played, one cutscene has to stand out more than most. So tell us about it!

For me it was the arrival of the Normandy SR2 in Mass Effect 2. Great music/emotion/kickass spaceship. Win.

I'm torn between a couple actually.
A few of the ones in Mass Effect like the Shepard/Ashley romance and the subsequent awesomeness of the battle of the Citadel as well as the sheer show stopping relief when Wrex puts his rifle down and agrees to keep working with me to stop Saren.

But of course I also have a deep love for the Saint's Row 2 cutscenes where my fully decked out british gangster swears his way through all the cinematics whilst wearing stilleto heels and a dress.

Then of course there is the cutscene in Halo 3 where the Arbiter kills Truth. It was so cool and quite ironic when you actually think about it.

So... gosh darn it, I can't really think of a best one right at this moment.

The Halo Wars cut scene with the Spartans fighting the elites has to be up there. Along with that the climatic cut scenes in Mass Effect were Sovereign attacks are epic. Oh, and anything from Timesplitters: Future perfect.

The cutscenes from Diablo 2 are all amassing. But the first one set the mood for the game, so that is the one I chooses.

The tibbits scene from "Condemned". That scared me pretty badly. It's not for the faint of heart and sticks out in my mind. That was a work of art. The main character has spent a long time trying to resurrect his dead love and now he's just trying to get to her, watched his horse fall (enough to believe that it died), he has been battered, bruised, cursed, and is in pretty bad shape, and then, this happens:...just watch it. Trust me, it's worth the time.

The halo wars final cut scene where the elites are fighting the spartans. Or maybe any of the Gears of War 2 ones? I just thought that they made the game so much like you were playing a movie that I enjoyed them immensly

Opening sequence in Bioshock, from the plane wreckage to the bathosphere ride to Rapture, I loved it. As far as new stuff, not sure it counts, but the Deus Ex: Human Revolution trailer is soooo pretty.

I loved the beach landing in Final Fantasy 8...

One of my favorites as well. Also, the "Would you kindly" scene in Bioshock...by the end of it, all the hairs on the back of my neck were standing up. So good.

ME2 SPOILERZZ:

At the beginning of Mass Effect 2 where The Normandy SR1 get destroyed and Shepard get killed.

Bioware is pretty good at killing off everything that mattered and was special from the first game, giving you a clean slate.

I almost agree with this. All the DoW cutscenes are fantastic, but I put the original opening at the very top of the list, followed by DoW 2.
