Favourite fruit, berry and vegetable

For added discussion value: Should we classify things as fruits/vegetable/berries based on the common gut feeling, or on the scientific definition? For instance, bananas, kiwis and tomatoes are per definition berries, but we usually call these fruits. Which term is correct?

What is this berry class you speak of?(I though they were only things that had berry in their name, not bananas and tomatoes

I think I read in a book that all "fruits" that have more than one seed are actually berries.
I give no guarantees though.

So that means watermelons are berries?

Fruit: Pineapple obviously.
Berry: Blackberry. Quick to pick and good to eat.
Vegetable: Lettuce. Simple, yet effective.

And call them what sounds, feels, or smells right, because we both know you'll just disagree if it doesn't seem right to you.

Pineapple. I use it in a lot of my cooking.

I think I've heard that either watermelons or pumpkins are the worlds largest berries.

Berry - Raspberry - but only as a flavoring
Vegtable - Potatoes - because idk i am irish

Fruit: Bananas or Grapes
Berry: Hmm, as a berry, Strawberry. As a flavour (eg. jam, yoghurt, etc.) Raspberry.
Vegetable: Carrots.

My favorite vegetable is.....eggplant.

Fruit....not particulary fond of any.When I saw Pirates of the Carribean I liked apples.
