Its a tie between the gold edition of Bad Company and The Awesome embossed Bioshock cover.

Probably the Timesplitters 2 cover. Though simple, it portrayed the awesome style of the game brilliantly - in essense, it screamed "TIMESPLITTERS!"

I don't even own it but the GOTY version of Fable 2. Its only a colour swap but its so much better!

Japanese/European FF covers are nicely minimalistic... Though I did just notice this nice FFVI cover for the Japanese PS1 version:

Now that's how you add more into a FF cover without ripping off Star Wars.

Cover art is a whole different game. It just needs to be stylish and catch your eye, and something as minimalistic as a stylished number 2 can be very effective when most other covers just have too much going on in them, often CGI.

Just for the record, I find art bashers deeply offensive.
I'm not joking.

Anyway, saying things like that only proves that you're either unable or unwilling to wrap your head round complex concepts like those found in modern art.
