Pipe bombs in Left 4 Dead. They're really fun during a horde attack. I love how the zombies forget you exist to go after the blinking light of death.

Agreed one time in dead air finalle, there was a huge horde of zombies coming for me ( was the sole survivor) I threw it and I watched them go after the blinking light and then watched them asplode.

Seconded with Halo, that was actually my first shooter in wich I really, actively used grenades. I also like them in Fallout 3, mostly for putting in people's pockets.

Ahh... There is no satisfaction like putting a grenade in some unsuspecting NPC's pockets...

The sticky grenades from Armed & Dangerous, hands down ^-^

Stick one on a sheep (yes, a sheep, no bull *ba-dum-chishhh*), and watch them run right into the nearest pack of enemies. Stick one on an enemy, and watch them scream as they run right for their fellow brethren *evil laugh*

A close second is the Groovitron from R&CF: Tools of Destruction... had tons of fun tossing them into a group of enemies - even a few bosses! - and watching them dance while Ratchet peppers them with whatever he's holding at the moment...

Honestly? RE4's incendiary grenades. Those things were awesome against the Bella Sisters and Dr. Salvatore, and very useful against mobs.

The grenades in Star Wars: Battlefront were fun to use on Bespin when people ran across the walkways at you. They all went flying down to their deaths because they were too stupid to not do a sideways dodge into the walls or over the edge and just walk backwards away from the grenade.

Whatever, it was fun. Although flying an X-Wing into the middle building was much more entertaining...

Crit stickies are rivalled only by crit rockets. I swear to god a crit sticky and an ordinary sticky can finish of anything except a max buffed heavy.

The Explosive-based classes in general are irritating. Balanced, but irritating as hell...

Its terrible when a soldier kills you point blank with a rocket launcher in the back of the head just before you snipe that heavy/medic pair on 2Fort. Whats worse is that they then run away, get health and repeat, adding little to the game.

Demo Sticky Spam is worse. Six Demos put sticks on the cart, nobody has the balls to get close enough.
