We had the most hated hero thread recently, I figured we could show off which hero's we love, regardless of their tights or lack of.

Book: Mat Cauthon from the Wheel of Time. He's a guy with everything against him but luck and damned if he won't win.

Movie: Hmm this needs thinking on, I'll get back to yas.

Comic: Batman. He's the rich kid that tries to do something useful but mostly just encourages the freaks to come out of the woodwork. They all hate him and his money would be better off going to the cops. Still who doesn't love a little bit of vigilanti(sp?) action?

Game: Gordon Freeman, sue me!

Edit - major facepalm here, I forgot to add my game hero.

Book: Death from the Terry Pratchett books. Yes, he was villainous in the first few books, but then he became nice Death

Movie: Wall-E

Comic: Batman or Deadpool. Batman is awesome and Deadpool is just awesomer.

I like the first two choices (haven't read the Comic one).

For me:

Book: Hmmm, Not many books I read have heroes in them. Let's go with Vimes, from Discworld.

Movie: Robert Neville 'I am Legend', he spend his isolated life finding the cure for the infection, despite having no reason to do so (because he believes he is alone). He then kills himself to ensure that it gets used.

Although the film had faults, his character was a Hero I think.

Comic: Johnny The Homicidal Maniac. (I don't read many comics)

Armless tiger man. Why?
Because the guy who made it was the luckiest son o' ***** ever

In all seriousness I would say Dead Pool because he is possibly the most interesting super hero I have ever heard of

first off, the word you're looking for is vigilantism, possibly vigilante, but in either case, his money would most definitely not be better going to the cops. It's widely established that with the exception of Jim Gordon and a few others, GCPD is overtly corrupt. Read Batman: Year One if you haven't. Batman does nothing, if not looks at all the angles.

Man, I've always had a really hard time accepting V as a protagonist. While Norsefire isn't a pretty princess, V does some truly despicable acts as well.

book: Arthur from the keys to the kingdom series, coz he's asthmatic but still kicks ass, even when the universe starts crumbling

comic book: spidey, allthough I may be biased because of great storylines in the more recent comics

film: not batman, he was shit in the film but the last film itself was epic, aside from that maybe rocky, but only in the first 3

game: the guy who does the voice over in the first part of battlefront 2, he makes you feel special... ehem (retaining dignity), o.k you never actually see him but I couldn't think of any better that aren't stuck so far up their own asses that they have actually measured the length of the small intestine
