So I got my grubby little hands on one of them Nintendo DS thingies, but without games. Now I'm looking for some opinions on what's worth giving a try.

What are your favourite NDS games? What makes them so good in your opinion?

My favourite games are usually RPGs and strategy games, but don't feel like you need to focus on those.

Alright. Well, of course the Final Fantasy remake, I think it's 4. Advance Wars is the best strategy game in my opinion on the system. I'd also recommend LoZ Phantom Hourglass, New Super Mario Bros, and if you're into the series, Kingdom Hearts 358/2.

When all is said and done, my favorite DS game is probably Puzzle Quest. Not Galactrix, just Challenge of the Warlords (Even if the Druid was horrifically broken at higher levels)

Besides that, Mario Cart is loads of fun, both Advance Wars were great strategy games, Sonic Rush was not only a good Sonic game, but a great Sonic game, the 2d side scrolling Mario is great nostalgic fun, and if your a masochist...Contra

I've been keeping steady with The World Ends with You and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time. The reason that these games are good to me is that I like them. That feeling can't be stressed enough.

Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier, Mario & Luigi: Bowsers inside story, Advanced Wars: Days of Ruin, Megeman Starforce 3(i have the Black Ace Version, haven't tried the Red Joker yet.), Kingdom hearts 358/2 Days, Jump Ultimate Stars, and Bleach: Dark Souls are all great games.
All but the last 2 are RPG's.
And Advanced Wars:DoR is a RTS.

I think I'll check out the Advance Wars games... I've played the first one on the GBA and it was pretty great. Maybe do some research in the other games because I don't even recognise half the titles mentioned.

Also, I didn't even know they had Puzzle Quest for the NDS. I'll have to track that game down. It's my favourite casual game on the PC, so having it on a handheld would be perfect. :)

Thanks for the suggestions so far. If anyone has any more, keep 'em coming! ;)

Both Mario and Luigis, Mario Kart DS, FFIV, Tetris DS, Chrono Trigger, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor, TWEWY. Just off the top of my head.

The Phoenix Wright series the third one is the best but the first two and the fourth are worth it as well. They're point and click adventure combined with court room hi jinks. All 4 have excellent writing and great stories.

Also any of the Castlevanias:portrait of Ruin, Dawn of Sorrow, or Order of Eclessia,All are 2-D action games with exploration and RPG elements. It'd take to long to describe them each individually so Google them to get a better understanding.

Finally Devil Survivor, Solid SRPG with multiple paths and a dark and suffocating atmosphere. There are loads of different demons and creatures to command, the story is compelling and the characters are believable.

Either Phoenix Wright or Elite Beat Agents. The former was an incredibly compelling adventure game, and the latter is absurdly addicting.

Advance Wars Days of Ruin is a must.
If you're in to more casual stuff, I suggest Pokemon or Mario games

Well, let's see...
Lock's Quest, LoZ Phantom Hourglass/Spirit Tracks, Pokemon Diamond, Mario Kart, Porfessor Layton, Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story.

Lots of other great titles, but those are the ones that come to mind right now.

EDIT: Phoenix Wright and Elite Beat Agents, how could I forget those?
