I bought a pie once from this place in Calgary called "Joe's famous 30" which was chicken breast, roasted garlic and raspberries. Yes, raspberries and it was one of the tastiest pizzas I've ever had, EVER. I ordered everything on their menu including (wait for it) duck pizza, but the best was that chicken/garlic/raspberry pie.
Alas, Southern Alberta (buncha fuckin' hicks...) wasn't ready for an avante garde pizza joint like Joe's, so they only lasted about a year but man was it good food!
As far as the best pizza ever (that's still available) would have to be Fresh Slice on Robson Street in Vancouver. They have this 5 cheese pizza which managed to convert me from being strictly a meat lover's kinda guy. The slices are huge and the cheese 'za doesn't have your normal tomato sauce oh no, they use this garlic cream sauce that is so goddamn tasty you could put it on cardboard and love it.
When I had to move back to the prairies I was jonesing for some fresh slice so I got some buddies together and we pooled our cash to order a few pies and have them sent over two provinces via same day courier. It took only about 4 hours for them to arrive, and because they couldn't believe some guys in Edmonton ordered a bunch of pizzas, they sent them all in those heated delivery bags and everything. They were STILL WARM when we got them, and we gave the driver a slice because he couldn't believe pizza could be that good...
Pizza is kinda like sex: Even when its bad, its still pretty good...
