the operation flashpoint (DR) rocket launcher load animation where you get it off your back, place it on the ground, load the shot in, then pick it up and ready to fire

Marathon 2 Shotguns.
Each magazine is 1 shot, firing both rounds, and reloads with a twirl (waaay before MW2's 1887's, mind you)

Assault Rifle reload from the first F.E.A.R. :)...
Either that or the assault rifle animation from the first Halo... Loved that weapon...

im a fan of i think its the magnum off black, because most of the time he just closes it, but every now and then he'll just spin the chamber. so cool, such an old and terrible game. the remington 870 also had a really cool reload on that
also the raging bull from rainbow 6 vegas 2 for pretty much the same reason as black's magnum, and the MP7 off that game because it was win.
Edit: THIS BLACK! just some unadulterated CGI gun porn in fairness
The Magnum in BLACK was orgasmic. Hell every gun was. <3

Shotguns, when you crack open the barrel. One of the most satisfying sounds in the world.

Also, the asp in Black Ops with sleight of hand.
It reloads faster than you can say "wuh-chik".

This, pretty much.

The opening area of If I Had a Rocket Launcher, I'd Make Somebody Pay is arguably the most epic shotgunnage in any game ever.

I kind of suck though, hehe. I just started working my way through that level on total carnage, and I have a save at the terminal just after the first blast door. I once managed to get past the enemies that teleport in at the second blast door, and I very nearly got to the rockets, but a purple trooper cut me off on the final stairs to it.
(Maybe that level isn't the best one for somebody's first attempt at Total Carnage gameplay xD)

The SBP500 from timesplitters: Future Perfect. its a top loader for some reason but taking it out is a cool little animation. Also the revolver from same. watching it drop bullets is cool.
Agreed, the way the SBP500 breaks in the middle is sooooo satisfying, and the chunky whirring noise it makes.

ALSO: The MAG-Charger from TS:FP, he just pulls a little tab on the back and voila! Reloaded.

Pyro's Flare Gun or a game with a double-barrel where the two shells pop out when you reload (there are many)

Oh and the DP28 machine gun from CoD WaW

Yeaaaah, that level is a bit tough to start out on.
I don't remember which one had the over-powered pfhor, but those grey troopers took about 4 rockets to kill. Each.
Anyways, that shotgun is the basis on which I compare every other shotgun to.
Oh goodness, I have to go play Marathon again now.
