Favourite start-up sounds

So I came across this video (not even sure how), which covers most, if not all of the consoles/handhelds start up sounds


Some are more recognisable than others and everyone will probably have a favourite. So what's yours? Mine's are the PS1 and the GBA. Feel free to post yours if it's not in the video there.

After watching that vid, I really like the FM Towns startup, mainly because of the tune. That vid however didn't include the Sega/Mega CD startup, which is a shame, because it's a awesome startup, even if the console itself left a lot to be desired.

My personal favourite has got to be the Dev-Kit Dreamcast startup, it's perfect, and I wish it was included in the commercial machines, which sadly it wasn't.


Also, like mostly everyone, the Playstation startup holds a lot of nostalgia for people, including me.

I'm gonna take start up to be an attack/game start up as well. I don't hold much nostalgia for console sounds in general.

"Thirty seconds until minions spawn!" Oh LoL's announcer... How awesome she is.

And one of your level 3 hypers going through in UMVC3. Not just the unique *shwing* noise of the lvl 3 but your character's follow up sound of the cinematic actually starting. Nothing is more depressing than a whiffed lvl 3

Oh if Vergil is the last DHC he says "Time to die!" in a ridiculously epic way before the hyper goes through. Really i can't stress enough how awesome the delivery is. Pity he's always the second DHC in my team.
